Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

I just found out that the parent meeting where I'm supposed to get all the details about dd's dance competition team for next year, is THURSDAY NIGHT AT 6PM! I was planning to pick up dd from school at 4, drop her off with grandma and then head to DL to meet everyone at the Jazz Kitchen. I'm hoping that I can talk to the director and get the details without going to the meeting, but I also don't want dd to get blacklisted because I didn't go to the meeting. I'm so upset! If I do have to attend the meeting, I'll still come meet up with everyone as soon as I can Thursday night, but I think the earliest I could meet everyone (with traffic and parking) would be 8-ish. That would be SUCH A BUMMER! I'll talk to the director tomorrow and let you know if I'll make it to dinner or not.

That stinks. Hopefully you will be able to get the info from the director ahead of time and still make it to the Jazz Kitchen.

I just found out my Mom is having a stress test on Fri. at 3:30 p.m. in preparation for her upcoming surgery. She has a caregiver who is with her Mon-Fri and half day on Saturday so I don't need to be there (but will be worried nonetheless). They are giving her a shot to stimulate the treadmill because she has mobility issues.

OMG! I am so excited about this trip but as its getting closer I feel all

First I am going to have tons of strange luggage to pack now since it looks like I leave DL on Friday night to drive to Irwindale where I will be pitching a tent to sleep at the Renaissance Faire so I can be up to start working at 8am double Poor DH is going to miss me since I won't be home till Sunday!

I am so excited and nervous about this trip since I have no kids and I am a bit out there on the odd meter. I did not buy a shirt or Lanyard but I think I might make some crazy green hair falls for Friday or something so you guys can tell I belong in this little group.

I am also nervous about the Hotel I chose since I have never stayed there and don't know if anyone here has. I got Extended Stays America by the Convention Center on Priceline. Does anyone know about this place?

I am tempted to post a picture of myself but I am not sure

Thanks for asking that! Since I tend to live in a cashless society and use my ATM card for everything I am going to make sure I have some cash just in case to cover things like this. I always forget to have cash.

I know, can you believe it?!?! It just won't go away! I won't go into all the horrid, nasty, descriptive details, but at least I think it's clearing up. I'm hoping some warm California sunshine will kill it.

Oh, that story gives me the willies! I can't imagine having teeth pulled.....I actually have the chills just thinking about it.

I'm really lucky in the teeth department though. I've never even had a cavity, yet. (knock on wood) And my wisdom teeth came in nice and straight, and luckily I had lots of room in the back of my mouth for them. My poor DH has had lots of teeth problems through the years though. Yuck, I don't even like to think about it.....

Look at it this way, it's all an adventure! No matter what it will be fun. And like I said before, everyone on here has a connection right from the start, and that's their love of DL.

As for the hotel, I don't know anything about it, but it's only one night. And a short one at that since you all will probably be out late having too much fun!

Oh, and I agree with Capri: Post the pic!!
