Good morning ladies!!!

Wow, it won't be long now!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I hope you all have a great Monday. Talk to you later.

Hi Everyone -

MommaU4 would you mind PMing me? I have been reading DIS boards for about a month (so excited for your trip!) and finally joined to PM you - and I can't... as I have no postings. Wups!

Anyway, we are going on Friday the 25th I have some questions about your Girls Trip - wondering you have a moment? We secretly want to ditch the boyfriends and join up with the ladies instead...

Thank you from Salt Lake!!
Hi there, I sent you a PM. :thumbsup2

Now get busy posting!! You have to catch up to me....:rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Everybody was in "park" clothes--shorts, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, etc. A few people looked like they attempted to dress up a bit (like what they might wear to church) but mostly casual. The only person "dressed up" was Michael Jordan. Have fun--you'll learn a lot and he's a great speaker. (I just don't know whether I could tell one grape from another at this point yet--I wish that I had scheduled more than one)

Thanks for the info. That will make my day so much easier, not having to be all "dressed" in the park!
BTW, I am by no means a wine expert. I just enjoy it and thought it would be nice to maybe learn a bit about it. From your description, it sound like it will be pefect for me!

Hmmm--BillyFan's post made me remember--is anyone else wanting to go see Billy Hill while we're there? I have only seen it from the back of the room and would like to see it closer to the front.

On the Blue Bayou--is there anyone who is interested in sharing meals? My experience is that the portion size is pretty large so I'm hoping there will be sharing opportunities.

I'll share what are you interested in eating?

I'll share what are you interested in eating?

I pretty much eat any protein and most vegetables except asparagus and cauliflower!

So I'll let you choose!

Good Morning Ladies!

It sounds like everyone had productive weekends! I wish I was packing to actually go away instead of just driving home every night!

Dh, dd and I went to Dland yesterday to check out the F&W fest. The weather was nice during the day, but pretty cool in the evening and I had to buy a sweatshirt. We didn't attend any of the scheduled festival events, but we did taste a few things set up at the Lucky Fortune, and also visited the sparkling bar, which was really nice. California Adventure was quite crowded though, but Disneyland wasn't as much. I was wondering if it was due to the F&W Fest, or maybe alot of people using the 2nd half of their 2fers?

I actually didn't see many cheerleaders though! Maybe because they were too young to be hanging out near the wine like I was?

I had a nice time with the fam, but the whole time was thinking about how much I'm really looking forward to hanging out with GIRLS :cool1: and not having to cater to a guy and a 4 year old!

:lmao:
Sounds like you're very ready for some park time with the ladies. No catering required!:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

AGGGHHH! I haven't even begun to pack. Heck, I haven't even gotten my suitcase out of the garage yet. I am so far behind. I am supposed to be working on an assignment for school right now, but I can't concentrate on it. And I know I should be getting ready for this weekend. But I'm not. I just hope I don't wait till the very last minute and forget to pack something important like my underoos you know.

I'm in my business law class right and as you can tell, I'm not really paying attention:lmao: I love the DIS.

I'm supposed to be working but I decided I needed to start a packing list and schedule for this weekend. :rotfl:

I remember my media law book was the biggest book I ever had in college! The thing was scary BIG!:scared1: A good workout though getting it across campus.:goodvibes

I don't bring anything to class except the homework and my coffee:lmao: We have computers in our classroom so I type all my notes than email them to myself. My book is big!

I'm off to work so I might check in later, around 2-ish unless we're crazy busy in the office. Which we may very well be since our Cowboy festival is THIS weekend. Yes, I'm going to the ladies meet and come home late Friday night and then go to work Saturday morning at 5 or 6am! I'll probably work 24 hours this weekend! Yeah, I'll be pooped by next monday!:lmao:

Man, I think I was born about 10-15 years too early. I wish things had been like that when I was in college.....cell phones, texting, in-room computers with internet access (I had to write so many notes that I thought my hand would fall off), and not having to bring your books everyday. I'm soooooo jealous of all the great things students have these days!:goodvibes

MommaU4 - I still can't PM. What the?

I will look at the schedule and see if our pathes will cross! Thank you!

I am actually emailing with some good new for someone (hopefully!). A friend gave us a free 5 day park hopper pass - but the first day has to be used by Thursday, April 24th. Our first day in the park is Friday, April 25th.

I wanted to offer it up to your girls group - thought there may be someone who has to be a bit more budget conscious and might need a little help on their trip??

The pass itself is in the San Francisco Bay Area with my friend. I didn't know if you have anyone in your group from the Bay area or we can have him fed ex it - I just worry about it getting to you in time.

Let me know if you can think of any use for it!

Yay!!

PS - I am so excited about our trip this week that I am going to explode! I feel like I am 8 again!

Saying hi and being jealous, b/c as of a couple hours ago all hope for meeting up was lost, when hubby was asked to work on Friday. Dang.

But I've told him that if suddenly a check arrived on our doorstep, I was taking DS to disneyland this weekend. If you see us lurking, congratulate us on our windfall, and pretend DS is a "lady". :goodvibes

SungirlSLC you have to keep posting, 10 or 20 posts or something like that, to be able to PM.

So stinkin' jealous.:cool2:

That is so sweet of you to offer a ticket to someone. I'd hop on that offer in a moment (since I'm on an extremely tight budget for this trip), except I've already bought a ticket. Bummer.:headache:

Anyway, it would be great if you could meet up with us somewhere or hang with us for a drink or some rides or something! The more the merrier!:woohoo:

I hope we get to meet you this week!
