That reminds me. I have 10 or so (I'm not quite certain) pins that are up for grabs. I'll bring them to the first dinner and you all are welcome to them. Whatever is left I'll bring to the second dinner.

steph

What's the 1st and 2nd dinner? I'm doing HOB on Sat. because I won't be in till Friday night.

I'm going to bring my pins too--I'm fairly new to all this so could use some tips (if you don't mind). I think there was also at least one more "pin person" so maybe we can have a "mini-meet" and talk pins for a bit!

The first dinner is Jazz Kitchen

No dinner is scheduled for Fri. nite. currently

HoB is the second dinner scheduled.

Cool, so I am doing the 2nd dinner. I am kinda new to Pin Trading too. I buy a few each time I go, but for trading I bought a mystery lot of 20 pins off eBay. My mom and I split it. There were actually a few that I kept. I know some people go after the limited editions and stuff like that but I just trade for ones that I like. Especially Tinkerbell ones.

I'll bring 1/2 on Thursday night and the other 1/2 on Saturday night. They are mostly Lilo & Stitch ones. My oldest has loved Stitch for 5+ years but isn't ready to be a pin trader, and these are the ones that I've collected over the years. They're just taking up space for us, as I'm not a pin trader.

Cristabel: they closed the other thread where you posted but I just had to say . . . . . this was one of the most "inspired" responses I've seen in a long time! (she posted to the person who was warning everyone about cheerleaders at DLR this weekend)

"So please, get over yourself and move along with your life."

thanks for the belly-laugh!

Stacielee: just checking--you got my PM--right?

As for me I have had a delightful Sunday avoiding work! (I did do laundry. Have more to do too.)

Then I went to Downtown Disney and met up with Jill (4FosterKids) to give her something I had for her. Then I went to the Taste Wine Like an Expert seminar with Michael Jordan (the sommelier, not the basketball guy) at Napa Rose (I had signed up back in Feb.--good thing because all of these seminars are sold out). It was a fun but stressful in some ways two hours because I am just not that much of a wine aficianado (which is why I took the class) and there were people there who knew so much more than I did about wine--I was intimidated (which is saying a LOT for me!) Anyway, I think I knew more than I did but will definitely do this again (with more confidence this time).

Then I walked around DTD a little more, bought a couple of pins, a chocolate pretzel (haven't eaten it yet--it's a treat for later, I'm bribing myself) and then came home. Now I'm sleepy and will probably lie down for a bit and then I HAVE TO WORK. IF I DON'T WORK THIS WEEK WILL BE INSANE and I'll never get to Hojo's by 3 on Thursday.

Oh and when I was in line for the pretzel, I met this lady from Utah who is there with her 17 grandchildren--27 people in all--for three nights--at the GRAND CALIFORNIAN. We had a great conversation (the line was long) and she casually dropped that last time it cost $30,000 and this time she didn't know what it would cost--she pays for everything--meals, spending money -- everything. Think she'd adopt US? Unbelievable--and WHY didn't I tell her about Disney Vacation Club?

We're doing this seminar next weekend, and I'm wondering if there is a dress code, since it is in Napa Rose. Did you notice everybody dressed up, or were people in their "park" clothes?

Seriously, arrogant new posters are quite frustrating.

Glad I could give you a good chuckle.

Everybody was in "park" clothes--shorts, sweatshirts, tennis shoes, etc. A few people looked like they attempted to dress up a bit (like what they might wear to church) but mostly casual. The only person "dressed up" was Michael Jordan. Have fun--you'll learn a lot and he's a great speaker. (I just don't know whether I could tell one grape from another at this point yet--I wish that I had scheduled more than one)

ugh... it is going t be so HOT!! Everyday the temp there seems to just go up and up. I like it cool!!:lmao:

Me too! I'm thinking the next trip should be in Febuary. :rotfl2: Hey, less crowded, not as hot, and not as far off. ;)

When you all are doing you packing, don't forget to leave the pizza money for the DH and kiddos. :thumbsup2

Hi Everyone -

MommaU4 would you mind PMing me? I have been reading DIS boards for about a month (so excited for your trip!) and finally joined to PM you - and I can't... as I have no postings. Wups!

Anyway, we are going on Friday the 25th I have some questions about your Girls Trip - wondering you have a moment? We secretly want to ditch the boyfriends and join up with the ladies instead...

Thank you from Salt Lake!!

Hey all. I just got an email confirming that I have a 2 day pass for disney as a bonus for being a travel agent...(and sending 100's their way each year) So it seems I now have an extra pass as I purchased one along with my family in our package. So if any of you are in need we could play "lets make a deal" :rotfl2: PM me if you are in need. :thumbsup2

Belle: Lesley can tell us, but I assume we would need to go to the Tour place on Main Street (on the left as you come under the bridge from the entrance right before city hall). Of course, a bunch of us will be at lunch at Blue Bayou right before so we will probably go as a pack (after appropriate rest stops, of course!)

On the Blue Bayou--is there anyone who is interested in sharing meals? My experience is that the portion size is pretty large so I'm hoping there will be sharing opportunities.
