Disneyland Girls Only Trip thread

I'll be honest I'm worried about the DL trip. DH says I worry to much and also told me to not be so strict to the plan and make sure that I enjoy the trip with you all.

Good Morning! I have been trying to figure out what to pack for the trip. Pants, shorts, capris? Jacket, sweater, long sleeves, short sleeves???

Weather dot com says high of 74 for the 25th 26th and 27th.

Steph - WAY TO GO GIRL!!! Congrats on the weight loss!

I need to lose weight myself (sigh). Like 20-25 pounds......I'm short though (5'3"), so that's a lot of weight for me to have hanging around. Maybe I'll give WW a try.

I'm not a big eater though, so food isn't really my problem. I'm just a big sitter-on-my-behinder.

I'm on WW as well. I'm in my 4th week! Dh pointed out I get those extra 35 pts if I want them and I need to remember WW is not about depriving myself. I wonder how many pts a churro is??? maybe I dont want to know! I've lost about 10lbs too. I weigh in today.

MamaKate--welcome back! I'm looking forward to meeting you and everyone else in person and hearing more about your trip!

Thanks! I was going to post a mini trip report here, but I didn't want to bore everyone .

The bad news is what May 7th will entail--she's looking at a 10-12 hour surgery to remove skin cancer from her face, neck and also some lymph nodes and also her cheekbone as well as maybe part of the jaw. They are going to take skin and fat from her thigh to reconstruct her face.

So, my rule for the day is SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN SUNSCREEN! and HATS HATS HATS!

We just don't know what sun exposure today will do to us in the future. Stay safe.

. Wow, I'll pray for her and that she recovers quickly.

OT but I really wanted to share over the past 5 weeks I've been on Weight Watchers. So today was my weigh in and I've lost 10.4 pounds since March
4th. So if all goes well by the time we're all at DL I'll have lost another 5 pounds. Thanks for listening.

Steph~ That's great . I REALLY need to start something SOON. I've gained over 20 lbs. since the beginning of the year (I'm an emotional eater & I have a lot of emotions ).

So when everyone meets me I may look a little puggier than my picture below .

That's a good idea to post the pictures to the Shutterfly account. I don't really have too many (maybe 40 or so). Since we go so often, I only take a few pictures each trip. I'll try to post the pictures tonight & I'll let everyone know when they are up.

Here's a request . . . . I was just reading a message on another thread from Capri about her son . . . could all of you "Moms" bring pics of the kids when you come to the Ladies' Only trip? I would love to see pics of the kids I've heard about . . . . put a face with a "name"

(As for me, other than DBF's 5 year old that we see occasionally (and have taken to DL!) I don't have kids other than my two feline ones . . . . Chase and Raja the Disney cat.)

YAY for you! I've been doing WW off and on too! I was really good up until Easter but had a rough time getting back to it since then. I did recommit yesterday though, so hopefully by the time I see all of you, I'll be a little smaller.

I'll definitely be saving all of my 35 pts that week (and maybe some others too) for DL food! I wonder if anyone does have WW points for park food?

Found an interesting article on Mouseplanet re. eating healthy at Disneyland. I'm counting on lots of activity points! With some preplanned indulgences (mmmm....ice cream) and bringing healthy snacks along, all should be great. Not that I will be that disciplined...

It's not the theme, it the COLOUR that matters....geesh. As for Utahmama, I love her but she drinks Pepsi so I'm not too sure I should trust her judgement on a leash.

Hmmm, I don't know. I'm thinking when it comes to that job you might actually have to fight some others for it.

You do know the leash doesn't work as well when the 'child' can get themselves out of it, right? I am bright enough to figure that out. On a good day.

Besides, Dagny will be too busy with her Wine and Beer to be 'leash lady'. She's got the art of two-fisted drinking down to a science.

At least Lauren will save me from you mean leash ladies!!!! She's my roomie, she's GOT to side with me.
