We will have two (just turned) 4 year olds in our party, and based on our experience last week visiting Legoland in Windsor, I don't think they will be able to manage two consecutive days in theme parks.

So, current thinking is to spend two days in Disney, one day at the start of the holiday and one towards the end.

What are your thoughts on how busy Disney will be on Friday 30th October?

Thought it might be nice to see the Halloween theming, and if we are really lucky we might catch some Christmas theming before we leave on November 13th.

We are staying with my cousin and her family who live an hour away from Disneyland. We are planning a little road trip to San Diego during the middle of our stay, and my little boy will be experiencing true American style trick or treating with my godson. Can't wait.

I think it will be quite busy on Friday 10/30, especially from late afternoon on. The crowds always pick up in the few days right before Halloween, and Fridays are busier anyway. If there is a Halloween party that night, Disneyland would close early. Normally there are parties on every Friday night in October (as well as on other weeknights too), but since Halloween night also always gets a party -- and this year Halloween is on a Saturday -- I am not sure if Disney would want to close the park early on a back-to-back Friday and Saturday. There has not been a party on a Saturday in a very long time (if ever).

If, for some reason, Disney decides to skip the party on Halloween night, then 10/30 would probably be the last party of the year and the park would be crowded.

I'm sure that most of the Christmas/holiday decorations (wreaths, garland, trees and so on) in the 2 parks will be in place by November 13th. I don't think the 3 hotels will be holiday ready yet. And I'm not sure when certain things like It's a Small World Holiday or Jingle Cruise will begin, and I don't know what's in store as far as potential holiday entertainment this year.

We were there on Friday 10/31 in 2014 and it was the last party. Sherry is the Yoda on all things Halloween, Christmas, etc but for me and my family, it wasn't crowded. We actually prefer going Halloween weekend because the crowds are manageable.
