Disneyland Forward Updated Documents

It's a 30 year plan, I doubt they would even start using this area until a year or two after Splash Retheme is done.
Yes I know a 30 year plan that will be shelved. The company has many more pressing issues right now than an Anaheim expansion. The 30 year plan is to show Anaheim that they plan to invest and need the zoning changes.
The company stock price is over 60% down from its highs in 2021/2022. I do not see them even starting this in a year or two either. Disney needs to reset financially and that will take time. PURE SPECULATION AND MY OPINION,

I remember it well. I vividly remember the entrance and riding the tram that took us to the main gate. :car:
The first 'ride' of the morning and the last 'ride' at the end of the day. It was especially fun if you were parked wayyyy in the back of the lot.

Well then they better to prepare for the worst then because if the parks don't get new attractions attendance will fall. Universal is not playing around after Nintendo on either coast

But I always assumed Disneyland was a locals park? So the locals will stop going to Disneyland? Yes Universal is expanding but they are owned by Comcast who is under the same pressures of Disney financially.

I've said for years that DLR needs a third gate. When they spent Billions on Star Wars Land, they could've started on a third gate with Star Wars in it, as well as tons of other stuff. I like this idea, though I'll probably beyond the age of being able to enjoy it when it finally happens.

I mean maybe if they change the AP how many guests are allowed in

But as of now you can't even get most Magic Keys. If no new ride is coming until the end of next year, I think you will see the normal crowds and low summer crowds again.

As a Business Disney is trying to make more money and if they can't get more guests to come in then it's going to be hard to improve profits.

USH is having a record year and HHN is selling out on week 2 which doesn't normally happen. The place is on a up swing and Disney is just sitting there at the same place it normally is. I mean next year will be the first year for a while, where I'm choosing not to go because....nothing new is coming until the end of next summer.

But Disney will get loans for this because DIsneyland can make more money but they need to add more things to do.

Disney's theme park division is very strong due to the international parks. Theme park revenues and profits were strong. Disney is not just sitting there either. Yes things need to be added to Disneyland but it is rather land locked for expansion. Disney is not going to take on more debt for a Disneyland expansion. When DIsney gets out of the network TV business - there will be billions to invest and spend.

I was there in August there were plenty of people not very busy but there were people. OOGIE sold out in one day. If they wanted more people, they would get rid of the reservation system.

Universal is Universal. Good for Universal. Disney is Disney. Apples and Oranges. I am not worried about Disneyland. If they needed people to go to Disneyland, they would open up new Key sales. They have not as of today.
Disney World not Disneyland is the flagship resort in Disney's American market.

NOT INSIDE INFO JUST MY OPINION. PURE SPECULATION. NO COMPANY'S PLAN STAYS THE SAME OVER 30 YEARS. CURRENT PLAN WILL BE SHELVED AND REDONE. SPECULATION.
In reading your posts on a variety of subjects you present very clear and concise information (especially on the ride refurb dates) due to your research. I think some ppl will construe that as you "are in the know" but it is really a solid opinion based on your research as you have clearly stated.

Heck, if you posted that DL was going to put the subs from the Submarine Voyage in the Rivers of America I might just believe you. Nah, just joking. Still wouldn't believe you after a double Eagle Rare Old Fashioned 😄

Seriously, keep up the great work! I look forward to your posts and opinions.

Thank you. Still on top of the refurbs!!!

Well someone stating an opinion shouldn't say he knows things for certain then. It is confusing.

I am just point this out, as too many people are missing this. People are wondering how DLH and DTD access points (Circled in black) are going to work. You can see on the Disneyland Forward plan that there is turn styles/ Entry points at the west end of the plan. Where the ESPN and the new Buildings are being build right now. It goes along with what was turned into the city for the noise study.

Nice. That picture is more clear than the other's I've seen.

What is the orange swoosh at the top connecting Disneyland to the new park? It looks like there might be a similar blue swoosh at the bottom connecting DCA to the other new park.

The orange and blue swooshes indicate connections with the two theme parks. Yes, there would be extensions of the two parks west of Disneyland Drive.

You can see the full map plus a drawing of what the area might look like on page 24 of the Project Description PDF in the Disneyland Forward EIR:

https://www.anaheim.net/DocumentCenter/View/51183/0300_Project_Description

Note the important disclaimer in the Project Description:

Exhibit 3-10, Conceptual Development Scenario – DRSP Southeast District and ARSP Theme Park East Overlay, and Exhibit 3-11, Conceptual Development Scenario – DRSP Theme Park District and ARSP Theme Park West Overlay, illustrate two potential development scenarios for the Southeast District/Theme Park East Overlay and expanded Theme Park District/Theme Park West Overlay, respectively; these scenarios are conceptual in nature and do not necessarily represent actual future buildout.

As a local and Magic Key holder, I would love love love an expansion (new rides and/or gate). I just hope I'm still in good shape if and when it ever happens lol.
