Disneyland for Christmas

How crazy would it be to go to Disneyland for Christmas day. We may go to the San Diego Zoo and I thought it would be fun to go to Disneyland for Christmas day and maybe DCA the day after. Would crowds be too much to deal with to make it worth the trip?

Where are you from? The zoo and Disneyland are about two hours apart from each other, so I'm not sure which day you're planning on doing the zoo?

Christmas morning will be okay, but it gets really crowded throughout the day beginning around 11:00 or so, and then the 26th will just be really crazy - last year they reached capacity around 10:30 AM and stopped selling tickets.

Have you ever been to Disneyland before? Will you be disappointed if you can't accomplish very much due to heavy crowds? Will it be enough to just see the decorations if you can't hit very many rides? Will it ruin your day if there are wall-to-wall people pushing and shoving throughout the park?

Just have realistic expectations. The week of Christmas to New Years is hand's down the busiest week of the entire year at Disneyland. Some people love that. Others can't take it and won't do it again.

Thank you for the info! We have been to DL a few times and it sounds fun but it may be better to wait for a time when we have more time to play. It's easy to say crowds won't bother us but we'd want to ride as many rides as possible . Maybe next year we will try. Thanks again!

We are braving the crowds, knowing it will be crazy, but we gave ourselves 5 days to do it. We know we can't do everything we want in 3 when it is so busy.
