Disneyland for 10th Birthday

I am taking my niece to Disneyland for her 10th birthday. Her birthday is the Sept 17th and we fly down on the 23rd so we will be in the parks 24th, 25th and 26th. I will try to get Halloween party tickets and plan to do a Character Breakfast with her. (I am not sure which one yet) . Since it has been 10 years since I have been to the parks, I'm just curious if celebrating her birthday and first time of DL is still a thing? Do they still do the birthday pins and first-visit pins? What other suggestions should I do with her while there?

Yes. You can pick them up at just about any store register. Some CM will write on them for you. Others will give you the Sharpie to write what you want.

Yes, you can get the pins. I bet your niece will love that, people will wish her a Happy Birthday all day

We just did the Minnie & Friends character breakfast at Plaza Inn and loved it. That would be a special treat for a birthday.

When my dd had her birthday at Disneyland last year we got the pin and she picked where she wanted to eat lunch- she always wants to go to Goofy's! I also ordered a birthday gift basket to be delivered to our hotel, which she LOVED. She picked out a couple of of extra souvenirs, too.

If your niece has any favorite characters you could try to see them at the park and get an autograph.

Yes they have buttons for not only Birthday, First Trip but also generic I'm Celebrating which is fun to get too.

OBB tickets go on sale to non MK on this Thursday. They will likely sell out that day for all dates, if prior years are predictive. So be ready at 9am PST on Thursday to grab OBB tickets!
