Steakhouse 55 <g>If you could only do one between Carthay and Napa, which do you prefer?

I don't care for Napa all that well. I am one of the exceptions. The counter is fun to watch, they no longer allow ordering from the menu, you do a chef's choice. It is 5 courses, you can add wine pairings. And it is fun, but I'd take Steakhouse 55 every time.
World of Color dessert party, the food might not be great, but it’s certainly good, and it’s just a fantastic way to watch the show!
Had this on my schedule as a 'maybe' but seems it is the best way to see WOC and i cannot miss that show
Yes, just let your chef know your preferences.Does anyone know if Napa can accommodate vegetarians on the tasting menu? I didn’t realize that’s what it turned into now...

NR for a meal (lounge or dining room) and Carthay Circle Lounge for a drink and appetizers. That way you can squeeze in both! And the CC Lounge is a really lovely break from all the bustle of the parks. During Halloween Time, there is always a special martini with a poison apple glow cube! (And you can still get the glow cube with a non-alcoholic beverage -- same price as the martini, though -- if you ask.)If you could only do one between Carthay and Napa, which do you prefer?
There are a lot of great suggestions here! If you get a chance, check out the Grand Californian for their 'cookie shots'. It's a chocolate chip cookie in the shape of a shot glass, coated inside with chocolate to seal the cookie, topped with Halloween-colored sprinkles and filled with either a virgin beverage like chocolate milk or adulted and filled with Grand Marnier, Rumchata or Bailey's. Your choice, of course!

Napa Rose, every time. We've had really good and really bad experiences at Carthay (food and service). At Napa, the food has always been amazing and the service is usually amazing as well. I will say our first time eating there, our bus boy was non-existent and we had to flag down others for water refills, etc. but the waitress took it upon herself to talk to the manager who actually discounted our meal for us. We've been fans ever since!
Not in the downstairs lounge, but you can order the biscuits in the upstairs patio lounge. When you ask the CM about lounge seating, ask if the upstairs patio is open (it doesn't have the same hours as downstairs) and if you can be seated there. The upstairs patio has the appetizers menu from CCR which has the biscuits. Can you still get the biscuits in the lounge? Because that is definitely seeming like the best option to still experience CC
Are you talking about the Chef's Counter tasting menu? Guesstimate about $100 + more for wine flight ($40-ish?) + tip. If you sit in the dining room or lounge, you can order the Vintner's Menu which is sort of a tasting menu -- runs about the same price as the Counter. The Vintner's Menu changes weekly. Is there pricing listed per person for what the 5 course thing goes for? I just want to give the rest of my party a heads up as budget is still a determining factor

CCR recently opened a street level patio lounge -- don't know if this replaces the upstairs lounge or is in addition to it. Worth asking about this when you visit! Can you still get the biscuits in the lounge? Because that is definitely seeming like the best option to still experience CC
I believe it is in addition. And no biscuits at the street level patio.CCR recently opened a street level patio lounge -- don't know if this replaces the upstairs lounge or is in addition to it. Worth asking about this when you visit!
