Disneyland Folks?? HELP me out here please!

Alright so I'm wanting to plan a trip to Disneyland this summer with me and two friends (we are all 18), I'm trying to figure out the best way to travel and the cheapest... Plus we will be traveling 1,666 miles gas alone will cost around $412.00 divided by 3 of us would cost $137 per person which isn't too bad but what I am wondering is there a cheaper way to travel and what are the best hotels around Vista to stay at. Would it be easier flying or not? Oh and another note we are meeting up with a friend who lives in Vista but his house doesn't have the room to fit in 3 more teenagers so that's why we would stay at a hotel. And how much should I/we bring for hotel, food etc.. If anyone can help please let me know!!!! And Thank you so much!!! Happy new ears! oops I ment years silly me!
