so we are not going until April but was wondering the best/fastest way to get from LAX to Anaheim Marriott Suites which is a good neighbor hotel.
Also how close is this hotel to the parks, walking. thank you. I am sure I will be asking a lot of questions. We have done WDW 5 times but never Disneyland.

I looked this up on Wikimapia.
Here's what I found. It looks like almost 2miles.

We use Lansky car service. They’re great and will allow a 20 minute stop, to collect groceries. We did the shuttle buses once or twice but lansky is just your traveling party and it’s direct to your hotel. Quick and easy.

If this is your first trip, I wouldn't stay that far. The "good neighbor" designation doesn't really have much meaning, and in this case, is mildly deceiving because it is one of the furthest hotels available and not really walkable (relative to other options).

Who is traveling with you on this trip? If it is mostly adults and grown children/teenagers, this might be okay if the price is good -- you can just take the ART shuttle.

If you have younger children with you, consider cancelling this hotel reservation and staying closer to the park.

You can take Uber/Lyft or the aforementioned car services. From the hotel to the park, you can also take Uber/Lyft. Alternatively, you can walk over to the ART shuttle stop at the Delta Hotels next door. That can work out if you leave for the park in the morning and return in the evening but does not work well if you want to go back to your hotel mid-day.

That said, I have stayed at this property and do not recommend it for first time visitors to Disneyland. It is not only far but also outdated. If you didn't book a prepaid rate and can give information about the type of place that you would like to stay at, people here may be able to suggest something.

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency which is just over the road from the Marriott and we were able to walk the distance, to and from the parks and DTD.

It is a comfortable walk and the pavement is wide, so shouldn't cause you too much of a concern.

The Hyatt did originally (back in 2007, when we stayed there on our honeymoon) have a regular free shuttle that took us to the parks as well, so that was also an option if required. Not sure if that is the case now or not.

I agree with you on the distance for a first trip, if the budget allow you to be closer.

I believe the OP has changed over to the Tropicana. Which is an easy walk to and from the parks.
