I have always wondered about what everyone's favourite time to go to DLR!! Remember to think of crowds, weather and holidays/special events. Also, be sure to explain why you voted for the month you did... I'll start us off - July/August - nothing says Disney like really hot weather and plenty of people to share that with!! :cool1:

I really enjoyed early June and November.

Early June, it's actually quite cold. It's overcast and breezy. Not alot of crowds as the kids are still in school.

November because it's cooler and they already have the Christmas decorations without the crowds.

I'm going for the first time in April in 10 days! It's after the spring break rush but will still be a bit busy. I'll see how I feel about it when I get back.

Loved it!! Temps were cool, a little June Gloom in the mornings, but by afternoon sun and fun!!

Crowds were down, most people are still in school. We loved our trip and I will plan again for that first week in June!!

Have fun!

Well anytime is a good time to be at DLR. :) But my favorite is November. Great weather, low crowds, holiday decorations are up.. perfect!

As you can tell from the siggie---every month is a potential DL month! :thumbsup2

However, I voted December. There is nothing in the world like Disney parks to get me in the mood for the holidays. For the past few years, we've done DL and WDW in December just for good measure.

I'm obsessed with the wooden soldiers...

Well, I've only been in July, and it was fantastic. I don't think it would feel like a true Disney vacation without all the summer crowds and heat. I've gotten used to it.

I picked May and October. Nice weather, and light crowds. We almost always go on Fridays, so we always get to see fireworks and shows.

Early March (since it has the Spring Break Hours and is still rather nice, minus the huge crowds)

October/November: you have all the fun Holiday Overlays, minus the huge crowds.

Well I have to say that since we have only gone in November both times, I had to pick then. We have been lucky to see the transformation over night at DL, from the way it looks most of the year to it's awsome christmas display. Over night the towering tree was put up and main street was all decked out with garland, and bulbs.
My boys were amazed that over night there coould be such a change in how DL could look, the wonders of Disney magic which appears in the park and in the wonder of a childs smile:tinker:

I'll chime in with my thoughts on the summer months (my pick).

I know lots of people stay away in the summer for good reasons, however I actually enjoy the summer because:

A) No ride closures. I don't have to worry about my favorite thing being down, and I can do it ALL! :goodvibes

B) It's open late! I can ride and shop to my heart's content!

C) I can see the Electric Parade. A Disney must for me!::MickeyMo:rainbow:::MinnieMo

D) Fireworks every evening! pixiedust: :smickey:

but then again...wouldn't we all agree??....any time is good to go!:cloud9:

We used to go in August because that's when my husband's vacation time came up, but both of us are getting older and can't take the high temperatures in California like we used to.

We love November and December because of the holiday decorations and the cooler weather.

We find that it's much easier dealing with the crowds if we're not feeling like we're slow-roasting in an oven at the same time. :lmao:

My favorite time to go is the week before Thanksgiving just when all the Christmas decorations are finished being put up. Dh cant get off work between Thanksgiving and New Years so it's our annual Christmas trip to get us in the mood.

October is the best, Halloween, nice weather, empty park and mine and my gf birthday. Awesome.

We are from Northern Canada and need to break up our winter, so mid to late January is best for us. It isn't that busy in the parks, and it is typical "summer time" weather for us in California. We do not tolerate heat too much, anything over 25C is too hot.

The last time we went to California was October 2003. It was way too hot. That was when there were all the fires. We felt really bad for those people that lost their homes.

I really like October. It was cooler in Anaheim than it was at home, the crowds weren't bad, and with HAlloween being my second favorite holiday (after the kid's birthday) I loved all the Halloween decorations and the HM overlay.
