Disneyland Escape Elopement Various Questions

Hello all,

I have a few questions regarding the Disneyland Escape option. It will only be us as the wedding couple, our photographer, and our videographer team. That being said, we still want to go all out as much as possible to give us the best experience. We were engaged at DCA and would love to come back and have our wedding in the same spot (or close to it)

Are Escape brides able to have in-park bridal shoots? We also may go to World for a few days after, and I heard that Disneyland brides could do both WDW and DLR for in-park portrait sessions. If we book one, can we have our own photographer and videographer team attend for footage? Do we have to pay an additional charge to bring the videography team and also are there a lot more restrictions on when you can do it there vs. when you can do it in Walt Disney World?

Which venue would you recommend as a “reception” venue? Or do they use the same venue for the ceremony and reception for the Escape package?

Has anybody compared the value of both Disneyland Escape and WDW Escape and chosen one over the other? Why did you choose the one that you did?

Yes!

No. At WDW you must use a staff photographer from Disney Fine Art Photography. They do contract with outside vendors for videography though, so you can choose from a list.

Disneyland doesn't offer much choice for the reception that accompanies the Escape collection. It's usually in a ballroom at the resort where you have the ceremony.

We live in LA, but we chose WDW over Disneyland because the pricing was much better and there were way more affordable in-park locations.
