We've been to WDW 3 times and are considering a trip to California which would include DL of course! So many other things to visit in LA/Anaheim/San Diego area. March break + 2 days would give us about 9 days to visit but end of June would give us more time because mom is a teacher.

Is 1st week of March a good time considering crowds and milder weather vs end of June? I hear the weather is more bearable because it is "dry" in the summer.

Being on East Coast, we really have to consider flying time and 4hr time zone difference.

AC have relatively good rates for a March visit. End of June would probably not be as good of a deal?:confused3

Any thoughts for those who went at either time of year would be appreciated!

I've been there in early July and nearly died from the heat. It's not a humid "I'm going to steam" hot like Florida but it's a searing "I'm going to burn" hot....

Was once sitting in an outdoor theatre trying to watch a Snow White show ... and we were dying ... we left after a little bit and had to go to It's a Small World to cool down.:rotfl2:

Its a dry heat though;). Definitely early March. By the end of June not only are all US schools out so are the ones in Canada and it is a madhouse. High season at DL is much different than WDW as there is less room to spread out. I can handle WDW in summer but cannot at DL:thumbsup2

Oooh...drag n' fly is right, it's a different sort of crowded in the summer at DL. DL is very much a locals park so not only do you have out of towners crowding in, but the local population comes too ... all in two smallish parks.

Thanks for the info! We were at WDW 2yrs ago at Christmas and was absolutely insane so I can imagine in a smaller park. If it doesn't work out this year we'll definitely consider this time of year for 2013.

Early March is the better time out of your options. It's not quite spring break yet, so the crowds would not all be out yet. The only down side is that the weather will not be as nice and warm as June to ride some of the water rides comfortably.

We actually like to go during the last 2 weeks in August. Some of the U.S. schools are back in session. The crowds are quite manageable. The weather is great to go on water rides and to visit the beaches.
