We are going back to Disneyland for my son's 12th birthday. Has anyone been there over Thanksgiving weekend. We will be there on the 27th which is a Sunday and the 28th. Anyone have any experiences over that weekend? :earsgirl: Oh and how do you put one of those little tickers on your posts?

I haven't been there over Thanksgiving weekend, but heard it is very busy.

To put a ticker on, just click on anyones ticker that has one.
Then you will make your ticker.
Then you highlight it, copy it.
Go to your User CP, edit signature.
Paste it in there.

Very easy, but I am not great at explaining! Hope you get it!

Well, if it's any indication I just tried for Fantasmic balcony seating for that weekend this morning.
I started calling BEFORE 8am and hitting re-dial until I got through. I was talking to the CM at EXACTLY 8am and they only had the last 3 seats on the balcony left for the 9pm show.
Since I wanted 4 seats and didn't want to be in the back corner anyway - I passed.
:sad1:

Anyway, my long drawn out way of saying I'm guessing it will be busy.

Plus, I needed to vent about not getting my seats. Almost the whole balcony sold out right at 8am.
:confused3
I'm guessing vacation planning got in before me. I should have gone that route too since we're staying on site.

It will be very busy, although maybe some of the crowd will have warn off towards the end of the weekend. I do know that the fall has been more crowded.

That is why we chose to go right after Thanksgiving, hoping it wouldn't be so busy. Still hoping! I know that the weekend of Dec 3/4 lots of the hotels in the area are completely booked. Must be because of the Candlelight processional.
Crossing my fingers that the other days aren't so busy! :flower:

We've done Thanksgiving week for many years (although bumped up our trip this year by a couple of weeks). The day after Thanksgiving is a total nightmare! By Sunday and Monday you should be fine. Crowded a little of course, but still nothing as bad a summertime crowds (Sunday more crowded than Monday). Wonderful time to visit... you'll love the Christmas decorations! Have a great trip!

What about the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving?

Monday & Tuesday before Thanksgiving should be okay... Although, I'll have to caveat that with this year MIGHT be different due to the bigger crowds for the 50th anniversary.

Thank you so much for your replies. I can't wait and neither can my son. I am fortunate to have my brothers in L.A so I don't have to worry about a hotel stay only a nasty little drive from L.A to Anaheim. :earboy2:
The next visit after that will be my birthday in January. YAY

What do you think the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving will look like? We're getting there Sat. afternoon, 11/19
