Disneyland Dream Suite!

I received an email this morning inviting me to preview 3/3 to 3/6 as an AP holder. It is limited to a maximum party of 6 and all attendees in our party must be AP holders. We are going to try and go 3/3 @ 5pm. My daughter will be in her wheelchair so I will report on the accessibility of the dream suite. Sounds like fun.

We will be there at the same time! How exciting.. we are not bringing anyone.. I wonder how many people are scheduled at each shift.
I booked yesterday afternoon but have not received my email yet - :confused3 Have you already recieved yours? I kept checking my junk file. I do have my confirmation number though so I can always call back if needed......

Just reread your time.. we are at 8:40 AM so we are the tour after you.... :)

I was told they will be sending the confirmation emails at the end of the week. So I don't think anyone got an email yet.

I too was told that the emails would go out at the end of this week. I was also told that there would be 16 people per tour and each tour was 20 minutes long. Can't wait to meet you.

thanks for the update on the emails.. I kept trying to check the junk folder but there are so many in there...:rotfl: Guess that would explain why I have not received it yet. I can hold out for a few extra days....
We are also AP holders so I wonder if I will receive another invitation?

Has anyone gotten their confirmation email yet? I was thinking the "end of the week" would mean today, but I guess technically they've got until tomorrow night...

I haven't received anything yet.:surfweb:

I received my email confirmation almost immediately after I made the reservation online. The email was from The Disneyland Resort <event_information@register123.com> with the subject "Here's your registration confirmation for Dream Suite Tours"

Yours was the AP tour, right? I think the DVC tour (which had to be phoned in) is being handled differently- it sounds like none of the DVC folks have gotten their confirmations yet.

I received my email confirmation today !!! :cool1:
I said to make sure we printed it out and brought it with us or no admission... so don't forget to print yours out when received. Photos are allowed (I planned to bring the camera already) and will post here when we get home.

I can't wait... :)

I got my confirmation DVC email today too . . . .

I receive a confirmation for the original time of 9:40PM, but we switched to 11PM so I guess I'm still waiting. I called today and was told I should receive another confirmation.

WOW - it is beautiful... I will post photos tomorrow as I am very tired right now. Not used to getting up before 6 AM and being at the park before they open. We usually get up at leisure and then drive down. Anyway a quick report on the suite. Two bedrooms beautifully decorated, no element left untouched. Lots of trivia there too, many surprises too. We had a great time. Our tour was 11 people total. Enough time to walk around and take photos, ask lots of questions and have fun. We even received DVC baseball caps and pins too! How was everyone elses tour who attended?

We had a very good time too--I have pictures as well but have to figure out the whole photobucket thing! We enjoyed the tour--although our group was larger (probably 14) and it was a little tight in a couple of places. Overall, the suite is beautiful for what it is and the extra special "magic" touches are very nice . . .. but if I were choosing a decor for myself this would not be it. (don't get me wrong--if I won the chance to stay I would!) I thought the furniture in the "parlor"/living room looked very uncomfortable (especially the striped settee). The outdoor areas I really enjoyed--the balcony overlooking where Fantasmic would be is unbelievable and the interior patio is very nice too.

A couple of interesting things our tour guide told us--the suite is designed to sleep 6, but sometimes there are larger groups who "win." In that case, everyone is welcome to spend the evening (up until park closing) in the suite, but at park closing all but 6 must leave. The winners go to Blue Bayou for dinner at 4:30, then are the parade grand marshall at 6:30. Presumably if Fantasmic is playing you would want to be back to the suite by 9:30 for that (plus there are magic touches you would not want to be missing). After park closing they get a two hour walking tour, then they are put on "lockdown" until the next morning.

The second bedroom is handicapped accessible and has a roll-in shower.

More later!

Sorry, this may be mentioned in the thread somewhere, but do we know when park guest will actually get to start spending the night in the suite?

Park guests started staying sometime in early January. So far they have had about 17 families stay the night. A friend of ours was actually picked to stay one night. They were at Dl for the day only - no change of clothes, toothbrushes etc - but they decided it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and they stayed. I saw their beautiful photos the wife scrapbooked into an album. They learned tons of trivia on their personalized 2 hour tour AFTER the park was closed. It was so much fun to live it through their eyes and the photos too. We met them in the park yesterday after our tour and told them we saw their 'home' for the night. The suite is supposed to be closed for a short time for cast member tours and then some AP tours but will reopen to one lucky family shortly.

Thanks Laurie!!!

We'll be there the first part of April for 6 days so I'll keep my fingers crossed. :goodvibes
