On Mousesavers it says that virtually all DL dining locations give a 10% dining discount to DVC members. Does this discount include counter service? I'm actually surprised there are not stated restrictions (lunch only).

Am I missing something? Is there a link someone could share to the current perks booklets?

We will be visiting in August! By the way we booked at the 7 month window, no problem.

We went in Oct. and yes everywhere Disney gave a 10% discount. CS even when we bought a candy apple at the store. It was a nice perk. I do not remember if the DTD places that are outside vendors gave discounts, but that should be in the portable perks.

DL gives DVC members 10% off almost everything. Deluxe and Premium AP's also get discounts:

DL is very different from WDW this way. I think some may be because it's much more a locals park and there is close proximity to other dining or people will bring their own lunches. The discounts are to encourage more purchases by the repeat visitors. DVC doesn't get as nice of a discount on AP's in comparison to S. Cal but at least the food discounts are similar. :thumbsup2

YES!! :thumbsup2 Just the tiny jump of 15% Premium AP Versus 10% all other AP's plus DVC on Dining helps out when you are constantly snacking around the park! ;) It's been a better deal for us as Local DVC/Premium APer's for the last 2 years!! ::yes::

Nearly everything we in DL was eligible for our DVC discount except our Club33 meal ((LOL and no before you ask no we didn't even think of asking!))

Thank you for your helpful responses! Now to pick the restaurants :)

Any favorites anyone would like to recommend?

Are there merchandise discounts as well for DVC members?

Blue Bayou in the Pirates ride. You will need an ADR, but you can wait until about a month out to make it. Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel is very nice but $$$ too. Also Storytellers Cafe in the Grand California Hotel.
