I was just wondering what the crowds are like from Dec11- 18. Thank You !!! :Pinkbounc

Can't answer for those specific dates, but my son's birthday is December 10, and we always used to take him on that date for a family celebration. On weekdays, the park was about as empty as you could wish for. Enough people that it didn't seem abandoned, but we could walk on to any ride and ride as many times as we wanted. I don't know about weekends. The weather is usually good, and the park is decorated for the holidays, but the kids aren't out of school yet, so I think it's the perfect time to go.

between thanksgiving and about 2-3 days before christmas is the least crowded time of the year, but then at new years it jumps to peak season. cause everyone goes for thanksgiving or christmas, not too many go in between, so its great!

I know statistically early December is the slowest time of the year, but from my research and personal experience I have NOT found that to be true. I went last December on December 12 and it was very crowded. Waits for FL rides mid day were 30 + minutes. They were much longer for stand by lines for the major rides.

In 2005 I was there in early Feb, mid April, mid Sep and the one day in December. I think December was the busiest followed by April. Both early Feb and mid Sep were very uncrowded. To me, those are the least busy times. (I just returned this past week, May 2-4, and it was not busy either).

People are reading that early Dec is not busy, so it seems that everyone is going then. It's not the empty time of year it used to be. Last year the crowds didn't rival summer or spring break, but it was not slow.

Many schools may get out on Dec 15 for their holiday break. I'm guessing that crowds will pick up dramatically on that day.

Have a great trip!

We went December 1-6 and can agree with SDMom that crowds were non existent.

But I know someone who was there about a fortnight later and they said it was insane.

The key date seems to be school holidays - from the moment they start crowds go through the roof and stay that way until schools go back in early January

I'm guessing the first few days of your stay will be good, and then crowds will take off.
