Disneyland/DCA Swap?

I haven't seen mention of this swap recently other than it being listed on the Swap Calendar. I've also not seen the hostesses around lately, either. Does anyone know what the status is of this one? I've been anxiously waiting.

I'm anxiously waiting for this one, too! As I mentioned in the parade swap thread, my first trip to DL is in November and I am soooooo excited to start planning and gathering scrap stuff.

If needed, I can help with hostessing.

I don't know what happened to the hostess. She has disappeared. She asked for a volunteer to help, so I volunteered. I have no idea what she had in mind. She never replyed to my PMs.

I could host this if there is enough interest.

How do you want to handle this swap? What number of items, rides, lands, parks etc? Please let me know.

I was going to offer to host also, although I certainly won't mind if someone else does it. I just want to make sure that we have one since I need tons more DL/DCA stuff than WDW stuff.

I've been kind of thinking about this one today since I've been trying not to think about work (I closed my fiscal year yesterday and I'm brain dead!) I thought we could do two general themes - Individual Rides and Lands.

How does that sound?

I went one - on my honeymoon in 1990! I've not done the honeymoon album yet so it would be good for me, plus we may do California in 2009 i/o Florida.

Seems we have 5 people interested. I will be happy to host for those who are interested. I would guess there would be one group. I might join too, but the new DLR trip maybe a few years away.

Would you just like to pick what you do?

Element only or a page kit?

Thanks for offering to host, Mickeyfan2. Maybe we should have 2 groups - one for each park? It doesn't matter to me if it's elements or page kits.

I actually know of some others who would like to join this swap but I have been waiting until we have more info before getting them signed up.

My preference would probably be elements with different groups for each park.

Once you decide on everything, I can let my friends know so they can decide if they would like to participate. They're all very experienced scrappers and swappers on other boards and looking to get some DL stuff.

OK I will do two groups - one for each park and we will do elements. I will let the person decide if they want to do a ride, attraction, land or general park.

Mickeyfan2, I will actually be gone Friday - Sunday at the Scrapper's Dream Vacation, so I won't be around for signups. Is it possible to "reserve" a spot in each group?

I would like to join in too, I've never done an actual swap before, so my stuff won't be as polished as the others. But I do have the Mickey cart for Cricut. So if the rest of you are okay with a newbie joining in I would like to get my "feet wet".
