Hi All!

My friend is going this weekend (13th to 16th) for her 40th birthday to stay at GCH in Disneyland.

Her son is autistic, and while severe, he looks much more functioning than he actually is. But he absolutely can NOT be in confined spaces (i.e. Indiana Jones, etc). I suggested she contact DL Services to ask about the DAS and they didn't seem to give her good information.
They aren't Disney-philes and only have been once before - she has a 18yr old, the autistic 12-yr old, and an 8-yr old.

I read on another forum here, they need to register each day at City Hall?

And do they still go to a kiosk in each land to register for each ride and get a return time?

Thanks for your help!!

They only need to go to City Hall once, not every day. And yes, ride return times are given at kiosks.

I suggest you (or she) check out the DL & DCA - Disability Access Service Card thread pinned near the top of this forum. The first post has details about the DAS (no need to read through all the pages of discussion).

Nobody can guarantee by phone that any given guest will qualify for the DAS. They must request one in person at City Hall (or the Chamber of Commerce in DCA). If there are more than 4 people in her party, everyone will need to be present.

I hope your friend enjoys her trip!

Thanks aaarcher86 and lanejudy! I will send her the info. Amazing how you can provide succinct information that she couldn't get through DLR ;-)
