Disneyland crowds before the Halloween party

My wife and I are going down to DL at the end of September with my DD3 and DS2. We will be there while one of the Halloween parties is going on and we will not be attending it. My kids will almost be asleep by the time it starts. As I understand it, people who buy a ticket to the event will be allowed into the park a few hours before the party and those without tickets will be escorted out. I saw someone else asking about crowd levels at the parties, but I am wondering if the park is crowded in the morning before the party? Seems to me most people wouldn't buy a ticket to go the park in the morning and then buy another ticket to go the party in the evening, but I could be wrong.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

What a fun trip! Your kids will love it!

The mornings aren't noticeably more crowded on Halloween party days, at least in my experience. It starts to pick up around 3 or 4, when the people with party tickets start coming in. The party tickets allow you to enter several hours early, so many people take advantage of that. But it doesn't get crazy busy until around 6, which is when they'll have non-party guests leave the park anyway. So a good strategy would be to get up early that day (which, if your DD3 is anything like mine, you'll be doing anyway!) and get to the park at rope drop. You can get a ton of stuff done, and then go back to the hotel when the party guests begin arriving. Have a great trip!

We have seen the same thing as Mickeyfil. We have gone on a Friday party the last two years and the mornings until around 3ish are pretty ok. The weekends were pretty packed for us the last two years we went, DCA will probably absorb more of the crowd now.

Depending on how late you stay for the day, you may want to head over to DCA well before the party starts and avoid the merging crowds as much as possible.
