Disneyland Coke

In Las Vegas they have Coca Cola World and you can buy taste of the world I believe they call it. It's the different flavors of Coke around the world. My family's general consensus is that Italy's taste like cough medicine :drinking1

Jory29, you may also want to add diet A&W root beer to your order list. I also like Diet Squirt and Fresca (both citrus sodas). Diet cherry Dr Pepper is pretty spectacular, but not caffeine free...Diet Rite also makes some good flavors, but I can't remember if they have caffeine...

There are pictures of DCA's current food and wine festival showing a coke maching that pours flavors I've never seen.

As far as pixie dust, it's probably an extra kick of caffeine.

That might be the place in Epcot that is sponsored by Coke and dispenses samples of some their product line from around the world - definitely interesting - some flavors are great - some are intended to be almost a tonic - so the flavor may be a secondary concern - if you get my drift;)

This is an old thread but skiingfast is actually referring to the Coke Freestyle machine that they had at the DLR F&W festival that year. It doesn't make the different cokes from around the world but lets you pick from different flavors of each drink. You pick which drink you want (coke, sprite, lemonade, etc) and then you get to pick which flavor you want (cherry, grape, etc). We don't normally get sodas but we had a lot of fun trying the different options. I haven't heard much about this machine since the F&W festival but I think they were trying it out in some fast food places too. There was a website where you could see the locations it's at but i don't have the link.

They have one here at Five Guys & a burger, lots & lots of choices.

There is a spot in Epcot where you go & try different sodas from around the world, it's for free, pretty nice displayed & options.

We found Kolita Fanta from my country :goodvibes & drank tons of it :rolleyes1

Thanks so much!! :) We do have A&W root beer here in Canada, but not diet squirt... is it like 7-up or sprite? We also have fresca, that can be refreshing, but seems so bitter sometimes. I'll have to check into the diet rite as well! :) I would LOVE the cherry Dr. Pepper, too bad it has caffeine in it. :(

Diet Squirt is probably more similar to Fresca than Sprite, so if you're not a Fresca fan, you may want to avoid it. I checked on Diet Rite (was posting from my phone last night, which is not the best Internet-surfing experience) and all theirs are caffeine free. I like that they have flavors like grape and tangerine, which are rare in diet (I think some others make orange flavors, but not in caffeine free). They aren't as good as their sugar-laden counterparts, but few diets are...

Thanks so much! :) I'll keep an eye out for that when I place my Von's order.

The menu for Coke Corner at allearsnet.com says you can add a splash of cherry, raspberry or vanilla to any soft drink.

We have tried cherry just not vanilla yet.

And the comments about it being because you are at disneyland are not true. We have had a coke from their fountains there and then grabbed one for the drive home at a drive thru later and they do not taste the same. I have experienced this many times and will only drink coke at disneyland now. I very rarely have it at all, but *if* I do it's only there. It truly does taste better. Other places taste almost...watered down?

I haven't been to Disneyland since discovering Coke Zero. Does anyone know if Disneyland is serving Coke Zero instead of (or along with) Diet Coke?

PBI - check out Diet Sunkist! It's fabulous and doesn't taste like diet at all!!

Yeeeeessss!! I would love a great diet orange soda! :) Thanks!! We also do not have diet sunkist here, so will be on the lookout for it.

I'm pretty sure that Diet Sunkist has caffeine in it, though. I think Diet Orange Crush is caffeine-free though (however, it's not calorie-free. I think it has a bit of HFCS and has 25 calories a can).

No.... The coke in Disneyland taste better because you are paying a lot $$$ for it... Everything tastes better when it is expensive.... I swear the best hamburger I ever ate was poolside at the Grand Hyatt on Kauai, but that's probably because I paid $12 for it! Hahahaha! ;)

Actually more likely that not it is the source water that makes the biggest difference in the taste of soda from one place to another... I really really hate the taste of Coke in Ohio! It tastes better in California, but my favorite comes from the local fountain machines here in Hawaii. :thumbsup2

Duck is right - the Water flavors the fountain drink soda products. Try a soda in Washington DC - argghhh. You have to stick to canned or bottled soda, and even then, sometimes the bottler uses local water.

Personally, I don't like coke - only pepsi! LOL - so I bring my own.

:hippie:

Thanks for the heads up, will watch for that! I'm surprised they would put caffeine in an orange drink. Our son shouldn't have HFCS we find it hypes him up, so maybe I'll sneak a little myself. ;)

Remember, those who don't like the water fountains in Disney, there are 4 stations where you can get cold filtered water besides the baby station - one is beside the Star Wars terrace meal place I think... there was recently a thread on it here.

I think too, that Pepsi tastes better than Coke!
