Does the CocaCola in Disneyland have pixie dust?
Lately I find that the coke in Disney is much better than anywhere outside the parks. Anyone else experience this? I don't know what it has but coke back home just doesn't taste the same way..

I don't know about the regular Coke, but Coca-Cola does do a cherry syrup for Cherry Cokes that is only available at Disneyland!!! That's what we always get at Coke Corner....delicious!:drinking1

This really interesting. I read several years back that disney is the largest customer of coke after McDonalds, I don't know if that was true because if McD is number one I would guess that Wendy's would be number two, I mean all day they are serving almost every customer all over the nation a soda.

But still if you have ever gone on a tour of a coke facility and seen that coke flavor changes region to region and country to country, why couldn't Disney have it's own too? There are pictures of DCA's current food and wine festival showing a coke maching that pours flavors I've never seen.

As far as pixie dust, it's probably an extra kick of caffeine.

That would be interesting if Disney had its own twist on the flavor. I remember hearing about that machine on the podcast, Coke Freestyle.

For the Cal Adventure Food & Wine Festival they have two prototype COKE machines tha have about 80 flavors of Coke Products.

This is in Stage 12 Backlot.

I've only tried the Cherry Coke last Thanksgiving after hearing it on DIS. It was great. But when I ordered it during Spring break, I was charged extra for the cherry syrup. Was there always a charge for syrup and they just didn't charge me last year?

I believe they have always had a charge on it. I think it's around .50 or so? It's the best Cherry Coke ever. I just love it.

:lmao: I'm laughing only because I thought me & my DH were nuts because we totally think the same thing. I don't know what it is that's different...it's almost perfect...not too much carbonation and not too much syrup.

It's perfection! :thumbsup2

Exactly!

I always thought McD had the perfect Diet Coke but I would probably think different if I could Disney Diet Coke on every other corner! :dance3:

When I was at DW (Hollywood Studios) last year I had been on a diet prior to our trip and hadn't had any soda for quite a while. On a few occasions I snuck away and had fries and a coke from the MCD stand and it tasted better than any before!

That might be the place in Epcot that is sponsored by Coke and dispenses samples of some their product line from around the world - definitely interesting - some flavors are great - some are intended to be almost a tonic - so the flavor may be a secondary concern - if you get my drift;)

A little O/T, sorry, but I have always wished they could offer a diet soda that was caffeine free, such as diet 7-up or diet sprite. The shot of cherry syrup in there would be great!! :)

My son and I have given up caffeine - he has an anxiety disorder and we know that caffeine only exacerbates it. My DH gets extreme headaches from caffeine, and I chose to give it up in support of my son. We would LOVE to have a low calorie soda option that does not contain caffeine.

Obviously, the cherry syrup won't be calorie-free so that would be a treat for us, but I'd appreciate if more restaurant, DL included, could offer something such as Minute Maid Light Lemonade (sugar-free) or diet sprite, etc.

I didn't know that coca cola varies in different areas!! I will have to pay attention to it when we are there, we order caffeine free diet coke or diet pepsi from Von's when we go to DL and we live in Canada - interesting to know if the taste is different. We do love that they offer diet cherry 7-up in the USA as they do not manufacture that in Canada!

I'll have to try that in our next trip. I didn't know about, thanks for the tip :goodvibes
