Disneyland closed May 4th, 2005

When I first read this I thought ," wouldn't it cost more to take out a castle and then put in a facade and then bring back an original" then i realized it must be some early April Fools Joke. It is not like a pre fab home. HOW on earth could someone fly in a castle. Is it in parts? Is it a whole? How could they line up the tabs to make it fit in the slots??

If its from area 51 anything can happen. Remember that ship in the park in San Francisco. That was a whale of a tale.:p ;) :teeth:

I don't if I should laugh or call in the men in white coats and have them take some of you away!

As it stands I am gonna have to say that I believe this to be false and a little silly. However it borders on sounding true! So bravo story teller!

I was believing this story right up to the point that I read "contracting with the government at a REASONABLE price".... then I KNEW it was a joke.

;)

No, it's true. And Mike and Roy are going to stand in front of the castle and give each other a BIIIIG hug.

Yup, just before Roy watches the helecopters drop the castle on Mike.

Oh, oh. I see a problem here. What if Mikey gets emotional, overwhelmed and decides to give roy a biig bear hug. Then neither one of them would be able to out of the way of the falling castle.

Just think, we won't have anything or anyone to write about. Boy then this board would really get boring!!!

Most of you are partially right. But what you haven't reported is the fact that the current castle is going to be lifted out of the park via levitation. Sigfried and Roy will actually perform the act followed by a show featuring a white "Tigger."

The imagineers have been working hard to loosen the castle from it's foundation in order to allow it to rise from the ground. Contrary to everyone's speculation, the original castle is actually inside Matterhorn Mountain. On May 4th, the Matterhorn will be gently tipped onto it's side. The top of the mountain will actually be submerged into the submarine lagoon. This will reveal the castle inside. Sorcer Mickey will re-enact his Fantasia sequence drawing the castle out and it will roll to it's home.

Once the castle is secured, the drawbridge will lower and just like he did in 1955, the now 103 year old Walt Disney will walk out from the castle and shake Roy's hand. He will then give Ei$ner a savage beating with an Angels baseball bat and Roy will help him throw Michael into the castle lagoon where he will be eaten alive by the toxic blue water.

Why does the park have to be closed for all of this? I would love to witness it. Since May 4 is my birthday, it would be the greatest gift imagineerable.

Oh my gosh, they have taken the tarps down. I can't believe they are actually trying to pass that off as the real castle. I can't wait till May 5th for the real Sleeping Beauty Castle's Homecoming!

One fact you have all forgotten! When they bring the original catle back the will unfreeze Walt and he will be master of ceromonies at the kick-off:jester:

This is so exciting!~ Only 33 days till the original Sleeping Beauty Castle comes back home.

Wait, Wait, if they put the old Castle back in, what will happen to the Emu pens currently there?

Anyone whose been following Disney Rumors and news knows that the Disneyland castle is just a facade to cover up the emu holding pens.

What you don't know, is that Starting May 5, Disney will once again be offering Turkey legs instead of Emu in the parks.
It's this kind of magic that makes me want to run out and buy a snowglobe.
