Today my mother and I saw the Disneyland 2023 Christmas Fantasy Parade on Youtube and we thought it was so magical and it was so well done. My mom loved seeing Mickey and Minnie in their holiday clothing and it was great fun to see Goofy as a baker baking gingerbread. My mom also loved seeing the princesses on their own float with their princes and it was stunning and of course Santa looked so amazing. The only drawback is that I think the parade was too short and they could've used more floats and characters but it was a wonderful parade. One thing my mom and I saw was that after the parade was that they seemed to have a short meet and greet with Santa and the other characters and then we noticed in the video that there was people wearing headsets and walkie-talkies and my mom thought it was parade security and I wonder if Disneyland does this during parades all the time and does this meet and greet with Santa really exist after each showing of the Christmas Fantasy Parade?

No they don’t. Although Santa meets elsewhere in the parks, and probably at the Disney hotels.

Who performs the parade anthem A Christmas Fantasy? I cannot figure out who sings it because it's a nice anthem to the parade. Also why did they remove the carolers from the parade because they used to interact with the people by having them sing along with the carolers?

From the Disney website.

Direct from the North Pole

Celebrate the holidays at the Disneyland Resort with a dash of Disney magic—meet Santa Claus and say hello!
At the Parks
Enjoy merry moments, festive photos and bundles of fun with the jolly old elf himself at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in Disney California Adventure Park.
Or take advantage of the chance to mingle with Kringle when he stops by Pooh’s thotful spot in Critter Country at Disneyland Park!
At the Hotels - Starting November 23, 2023
Catch up with Santa when he touches down at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. See Santa at:
Come say Ho-Ho-Hello to Santa before he heads back to the North Pole!

Santa definitely does not meet at the end of the parade route when it ends.

And personally, I think the parade is just exactly the right length. It has all the characters and is pretty cohesive.

Regarding the people with the walkie talkies, they are always there to walk along the parade route. They may be security but I have always believed them to be parade coordinators in case of issues. We saw the regular parade (Magic Happens) this fall one day and one of the floats broke down mid parade route (right in the middle of Main Street). Those people were the ones who helped to slow other parts of the parade down while they got a vehicle out to pull that float the rest of the way down the route. The Fairy Godmother kept going back to check on the progress for moving forward. I think she also stopped by one of those people to see what was up and an ETA to share with the others in their area of the parade.

One of the best parades, and I want to say one of the longest running? My mom has a video of me while we were watching the parade and one of the bakers with Goofy comes up and throws confetti on me. That had to have been over 20 years ago. So fun, especially at nighttime.

Oh, so that must've been the people me and my mom kept seeing in the video of the parade on Youtube and Mom kept calling them parade security but now we know who those people were thanks to you KPeterso. My mother also was surprised that Merida was not included in the Princess float along with Raya and Moana too. Also Mom was surprised that Tinker Bell did not have a float in this parade as well and she should've been given her own float in my eyes

It's a beautiful parade. I adore it, but haven't seen it in about 5 years, even though I go every Dec with my sister. She has some health issues that make it too hard on her, and since they've done away with the Holiday Tour seating, we've had to skip it. It's just too difficult now, but we had many great years of it and it's truly magical.

I just love all of the characters, costumes, ice skaters, floats, etc! It's breath-taking.

When do you remember this from? I don’t recall any sing along carolers in the parade but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen it.

The sing-along carolers used to appear in the 90's Disneyland Christmas Fantasy Parade because when I first saw it in person in Christmas 1998 my dad and I were lucky when the carolers came to our section and we sang the chorus of Deck The Halls with the carolers and how you could tell they were the carolers was they had actual real microphones like on TV. But why Disneyland got rid of the carolers in the parade is odd to me because it was the most interactive part of the parade and Disneyland should've brought them back for this year's parade
Thank you very much for your reply Disneychrista
