I am used to the Characters that frequent WDW, but I've been cruising through this forum for a while now for my upcoming trip and I'm starting to get the impression that each park (WDW vs. DL) have different regular Characters. I looked on the DL website and saw they had the major Characters listed (such as Mickey and Minnie and the Princesses). But there were some Character meet and greets that didn't specify certain Characters.

Now I understand that the Characters who appear there wouldn't be guaranteed, but can anyone tell me if some Characters do appear with regularity? I also saw someone's picture with Don Karnage and about passed out, i would love my picture with him or anyone from Tale Spin.

Which meet and greets do you mean that didn't specify characters? The regular meet and greets with queueing area are Pixie Hollow (Tinker Bell and Fairies), Mickey at his house, Pooh and Friends in Critter Country, Rapunzel in Fantasyland, the Princess Fantasy Faire (self explanatory ;) and unless I am blanking on something that's it for Disneyland. Oh wait, Christmas has Santa at the Reindeer Round Up and during Halloween Time the villains are out near it's a Small world. Apparently the new princess from Brave will have a meet and greet starting June. DCA does have Toy Story characters near Toy Story Mania.

Mickey, Minnie, Chip and Dale, Goofy and Donald are often out in Town Square (Donald a little less regular). I normally see Gepetto and Pinocchio too. Alice and the Mad Hatter, Snow White's Evil Queen, Aladdin and Jasmine. Sometimes White Rabbit from Alice.

I think that Don Karnage picture may even have been mine. That is several years old I am afraid. It was taken when the Villains were out near the Hyperion Theatre in DCA. That hasn't been happening for a long time. It was the only time I ever met Don Karnage, never seen him again.

Disney California Adventure Park

Duffy the Disney Bear
Lightning McQueen and Mater at Condor Flats
Disney Friends at Sunshine Plaza
Disney Stars in Hollywood Pictures Backlot
Koda and Kenai in Golden State
Phineas & Ferb's Rockin' Rollin' Dance Party at Paradise Pier
Russell and Dug at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail

That is copied off the main Disneyland website. So I was talking about the 'Disney friends' and 'disney stars'.

That is a shame about Don Karnage, would have been sweet.

To add to the list above, we have seen Brer Bear and Brer Fox many times hanging out in Critter Country. We've also seen Bug's Life characters near Bug's Land in DCA.

The Disney Visa Meet N Greet has had Pluto or Chip & Dale the past few times as well.

At DCA over by the Aladdin Theatre, we have also seen the Incredibles ... both Mr and Mrs , as well as Mike and Sully, and Goofy's son (can't remember his name). Jasmin and Aladdin too.
Russell and Dug are over in the Redwood Creek ChallengeTrail, and we have seen the Army Men in the Animation Building, as well as over on Paradise Pier.

We have also seen Snow White out in front of the Animation Building at DCA.

Thats all I can think of right now....:goodvibes

You will also find random characters roaming in various areas. They will not be listed on schedules, you will just happen upon them.
Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald are often found on main street, near the hat shop/ moments with Lincoln. There are frequently characters out near the enterance/ Mickey flower area. I've seen Peter Pan and related characters near main street and Fantasyland.

Oh dear, forgot about Duffy and the Up characters. :headache:

Lightning and Mater will probably move to Cars Land, they haven't been at Condor Flats in a while. There were also no characters in Sunshine Plaza forever, due to the construction. Phineas and Ferb is just a show and no character Meet and Greet. Koda and Kenai left when Russell and Dug started appearing in that area.

In Hollywood Backlot I've seen tourist Goofy, tourist Donald, Stitch, Max, Sulley and Playhouse Disney characters last fall. But with the construction going away soon I imagine a lot of this can and will change.

When we were there during the first week of January, we saw a few of the princesses (Belle, Ariel and Snow White, I believe) come out from beside the castle and towards Carnation Plaza - without handlers. It seems to have been unannounced, but they quickly had a mob scene behind them, despite their staggered appearances. Each also had one little girl by the hand walking with them.

On the same day, we also saw Mary Poppins and Bert at the Jolly Holiday Bakery (outside), with virtually no line.

Outside Playhouse Disney in DCA, we were able to catch Manny (from Handy Manny) and Jake (from the Neverland Pirates).

Is there a way to see steamboat Willie mickey anymore? Where in California adventure can we find Mickey? Toy story characters? Last but not least has anyone seen rabbit from Pooh lately if so where?
Thanks in advance we are going in late May.

Mickey in his house in Toontown is constantly rotating costumes. As such, you can't really know for sure, but he is sometimes (rarely, actually) Steamboat Willie. More often he is: Sorceror's Apprentice, Brave Little Tailor, Tuxedo Mickey. ;)

Mickey is often in his gazebo back towards Paradise Pier just past Ariel's Grotto. Minnie is there, too, and it is where Santa hangs out in December.

Toy Story characters are in Paradise Pier right in front of TSMM and King Triton's Carousel.

Rabbit is occasionally at the Pooh and Friends Meet and Greet in Critter Country. We got pictures with him this past summer. :thumbsup2
