Disneyland/CalAdven kids guidebook???

Hi. This will be DS first trip to DL and CA. Does anyone know of any kids guidebooks(similar or kidfriendly like Birnbaums kids guide to WDW) ?

I love how kid friendly the Birnbaums for WDW is, but don't think I saw one for DL. What have you used for your kids. I thought it would be nice to read on the plane, while waiting in restaurants etc...

Hi. It is our first trip and I bought Birnbaum's Disneyland Resort 2011 guidebook for my kids to look at. It is great.

It does have color maps and easy to read descriptions of the rides and restaurants. It has pictures of the characters throughout. It only has a couple pictures of the rides which is frustrating. The layout of the book is easy to follow and overall seems more kid friendly. I bought it online at Amazon for $10.

I also bought the unofficial guidebook but it doesn't have any pictures and isn't geared towards kids at all. It is way more in depth with reviews by the writers.

I have the Birnbaum Guide to Disneyland 2010 and its full of fun, colorful pictures that my kids LOVE looking through.

I usually get my books through Amazon, so both your opinions are very helpful. -Just wanted to make sure I got a guidebook that my son would be interested in looking at. As much as I would have fun reading the unofficial guide, it sounds like we'll all enjoy the Birnbaums guide.
