We live about 50 minutes from DLR and I've taken my girls there around every 2 weeks since the end of January. (1-21, 1-28, 2-11, going Monday and then an overnighter 3-16) I think it is fun and they like it.
I was talking to some friends about how I want to take 2 older girls who act as mother's helpers to DLR in lieu of having a birthday party for my girls' 3rd in April and one of the women thought I was doing it too often and it would lose value and they would burn out really fast and hate it.
I don't think this is a problem since we don't spend a lot of time there usually when it is just the 4 of us. We mostly wander and look at stuff and do the character greetings. They are starting to get into autographs so that will be added. Heck, we haven't even made it into DCA yet! (Monday) And IASW just reopened and they love that.
Also, one of my girls is VERY introverted and has a hard time making changes and transitions and I've noticed that it seems to be getting better since we go so often. (Could be a coincidence or something to do with age, though.) The last time we were there was the first time she ran up to my dad and held is hand.
I guess really this is one of those things where I just want validation that its okay and 12:48 is too late to call my mom. LOL (Whish means I should go to bed!)
