When in Disneyland at the shops in Main Street USA I wanted to buy some books on the subject of, the making of Dianey, and such. They had plenty to choose from but were REALLY expensive. Being from Canada I could only spend $400 per person and I suspected I could spend my money more wisely and then buy those books here in Canada.

I furst checked the Disneyland website and could not find any, then amazon and did not find the title's I was looking for. Can anyone direct me to where to find such book as found in Disney stores such as Disneyana.

If you know the titles I would check http://www.fetchbook.info
I bought the book Disneyland, Then now and Forever and really enjoy still looking at it. They have it listed there.
It is basically a book search engine that searches the leading bookselling websites, including ebay and half.com, amazon and more.

I also like half.com for books. I have gotten some pretty good deals there.

The Disney Insider newsletter this last week just made mention of some good books about the construction and history of DLR... they were..................

" Randy Bright's "Disneyland: Inside Story" and David Mumford and Bruce Gordon's "Disneyland: The Nickel Tour." Jeff Kurtti wrote "Since the World Began" about Walt Disney World. There are also books on the architecture of the Disney Parks, such as Beth Dunlop's "Building a Dream. "

HTH!!! :goodvibes

Bright's book is probably my favorite with Nickel Tour right behind. They're both out of print, so ebay.com or half.com are good sources. As I recall, both are pretty expensive.

There's also a set of photo books showing the construction and first few years of the park by Mel Kilpatrick, a newspaper photographer. I think the name of the publisher is Ape Pen. I have one called "Disneyland...the Beginning."
