We're trying to go to Disneyland in a couple of weeks, and we'll be driving down from Portland Oregon. I would like to get a book about the history or Disneyland, or Disneyland trivia that my husband and I could read on the way down. Any suggestions? I've found the Disneyland Detective on Amazon.com - is that a good one?

Thanks!

I bought a book recently for my classroom, The Disney Mountains: Imagineering At Its Peak. It is a fascinating look at the process that went into building all the "mountains" at Disney. I particularly liked learning about my favorite, the Matterhorn! It's not too technical - I have 5th graders, after all!

Thanks for all the suggestions! It helps to know what to look for. I'm going to look into them as soon as my boys go down for their naps.

I have a cool coffeetable-type book called Walt Disney Imagineering. It focuses on the creative aspects of all the Disney parks from ride designs to the details of the signs in the parks.

That Mountains book looked pretty good when I saw it on my last trip... I'll likely buy it soon.
