Disneyland at 6 weeks pregnant

Congrats!! I am pretty sure that early in the pregnancy you can do almost anything. My doctor told me I could ski or do anything I wanted. It's later you have to worry about the baby being jostled around when the baby gets bigger. You have plenty of protection around the baby for now. I think the tips about resting, avoiding dehydration and fatique are wonderful. You are going to have a great time no matter what you do (we all know how much you love Disneyland, lol)!

Thanks guys! You are super helpful (as always). I've switched jobs and moved since we had our last little pumpkin - so I'm in search of a new OB doctor and haven't been in yet (with an hour drive each way and sometimes a 3 hour wait (always more than an hour), I just can't afford to block off 5 hours for each prenatal appointment by sticking with my previous OB). I'll see if I can figure it out this weekend and get in this week. I did have some trouble early on with DD6 and ended up being told to 'take it easy' for most of the pregnancy, so I'm just going to be happy to be able to go and not worry about the things I'm missing out on. Thanks for all the advice, nausea has already hit me some (normally shortly after I eat) so I'll probably be careful what I eat (a sip of my sister's milkshake yesterday was a bad idea...) and take along some crackers, just in case. I've never seen the ginger drops at the store, but may check on Amazon if I can't find them locally. Truthfully, I've had nausea, but was always able to keep things where they belonged with my first two pregnancies; so, I'm hoping that will be the case with this one as well!

Theoretically, if rides like the teacups didn't make me too nauseous, would they be considered safe? How about the Silly Symphony Swings (one of my girls favorites, but my dad and DH won't ride it due to motion sickness issues - same w/ the teacups. Oddly enough, my dad can do the coasters)? I've read that g-forces and impact are normally the worrisome items, and these rides don't seem to have that issue (just the possibility of inducing nausea).

I should clarify, the ginger drops are like a candy, like lemon drops? Most health food stores have them. I will add that I had SEVERE morning sickness (my husband always joked that we should just rent food since I couldn't actually keep anything down) , and they didn't work for me, but I have lots of friends who swore by them! I always just reminded myself that morning sickness is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. No matter what disney is a magical place.

Hi guys!

I just wanted to let you know that the trip went pretty well. I did have some issues every morning (we didn't make rope drop...not once), but managed to do pretty well most of the time. I sat when I needed to, and my family was great about it. I didn't try the teacups or the Silly Symphony Swings. I did go on two rides with HR, though - Soarin' and (no flames, please) RSRs. I also did ride Pirates and Small World (but made sure I was kind of leaning forward whenever I knew we were about to get hit by the boat behind us) and TSMM.

I did do a little extra shopping, but mostly used the extra waiting time just to sit and rest. I wore a pedometer one of the days and still clocked 10 miles of walking! I normally clock 13 miles in a day at Disney - so I was taking it easier than usual.

We're doing one more trip (our last trip with our APs and my sister's birthday trip) here in a few weeks. I hope it goes as well as this one did!
