Disneyland app tickets

Doing my first trip to Disneyland and I am buying tickets with max pass. Do we need a hard ticket and the app? Can I put all my family’s tickets in my app or buy them all? How many family members can I have in my app? Just wanting to know

They will give you a hard ticket, regardless, and you'll want it, just in case. No, you don't have to use it, but it can make scanning your FPs a little easier. You can put everyone's tickets in your app, but the swiping to scan FPs takes time if you have a lot of them. I do not know whether there's a limit to the number of tickets you can have in your app, but I've heard of people with as many as nine.

As the pp said, keep the hard tickets with you (in a safe, waterproof place) just in case. On rare occasions, the MP system goes down, then you'll need the paper tickets to use in the FP machines.
