Disneyland and the DAS

Hi! Forgive me if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything recent. We are planning our first visit to Disneyland in late June 2014. We have a 19 year old, rather severely autistic son and the GAC has truly been a lifesaver for us on our many WDW trips. We are planning a 4-5 day visit to DL and wondering how the DAS works there. I haven't been to WDW since they implemented the new program, but through these boards, am somewhat familiar. Just wondering what we can expect. Thanks!
