Disneyland ADR question

As long as the tables of 1 and 2 guests "move" within a certain time frame and then turn over after spending money, Disney will not do anything. I travel solo to Disneyland and always book a table of 3 -- I hardly ever modify I just tell the host when I check in.
My money is as good as the next guest.
From Disney's prospective a table of 1 spends less than a table of 3. Doesn't make it right to lock parties of 1 or 2 out of dining experiences. Just the other side of the equation.

That is not always true. I can easily drop 100 bucks at Blue Bayou and Cathay Circle. Plus I tip very well. I do not see Disney blocking me out of a room at the GCH either. Like I said my money is as good as any guest. Disney sets the rules of "dining game" I play and get my reservation.

I agree 100%. My spouse and I having two entrees with water is likely less than a single person ordering an entree and a couple of drinks.

An adult with two kids probably spends less than two adults.

I agree that it is not always true but on average is.

So if you're by yourself, you could book for three, modify for two, and then show up as a solo and still be okay? No penalty fees?
I’m not sure if you’re just referring to the Fantasmic package, but I was just able to book for three and modify it to one at Lamplight Lounge.

My question was general, but I would be interested in information about packages as well. Those are more apt to have penalties, right? Such as getting charged for the "missing" people?

I booked 3 for Fantasmic premium package for me only in August 2024. I told them when I checked in. No penalties. I sat at table that was set for 3. They were very nice.

Not the dining packages where you are seated on the ground. Possibly RBT Premium. I haven't heard of anyone actually being charged for a no show.

We weren't charged for a no-show for RBT premium even though we hadn't cancelled our 3rd party member. I was willing to risk it anyway.
That's good to know. Were you seated at a table for four?

As of now, Disneyland does not have a penalities policy for changing size of party in a reservation. If there was a change in policy it would probably be $10 per person since Disneyland already has a $10 cancellation fee for less than 24 hours.
