We just got back April 29th and I am already planning our next trip. I became addicted in 2003 when I was pregnant with our now 20 mos old daughter. My sister who lives in Orlando thought it was about time that my twin dd's who were almost 5 at the time get out there and experience the magic so she ordered us a vacation video. It about saved my sanity. I was so sick during the 1st 4 mos of that pregnancy I couldnt eat, or do anything but laydown and suffer. I watched that video constantly and dreamed an plotted and schemed. I called WDW found out costs. My girls watched the video with me all the time. I had an entertainment book which at the time had a coupon that was for a Disney discount club. Of course I called. They were phasing that out so they gave me the number to the DVC. Oh my goodness.
I couldnt believe the good fortune. I knew we had to become members of DVC. They sent out a video and book. I became obsessed with owning at Disney. My husband buckled under the pressure after the baby was born. I got the new vacation dvd and we watched it constantly so much so that Mickey is one of the baby's first words. I planned and planned. I got Cinderella's Royal table 1st try. I was focused. We got into all the character dining we desired. I bought princess everything. We went in June right after the girls turned 6, the baby was 9 mos. When we pulled into Saratoga I almost cried. Going to our room which was gorgeous. watching the fireworks at midnight fom our bedroom window was so magical. Seeing the castle for the 1st time, our 1st trip, made us all obsessed with Disney. The food, the fireworks, the characters, the parades, the wonderful environment, it exceeded my dreams. I personally cant think of a better family vacation. I am totally devoted to Disney. Thank goodness my husband is the kind for whom if something is working he just stays with it, he's defiitely a creature of habit. For this trip I learned how to make t shirts. I made a gazillion with our favorite princesses and of course Mickey and Minney. I feed my addiction with the DIS and also with Sam Brown and any thing else on the travel channel that features Disney.
