Does anyone remember this? Did something else replace it? I remember they would auction off old ride vehicles and signs from the parks. I was drooling over a blue people mover car that I wanted so badly. They had skyway buckets, Space Mountain cars, etc. There's got to be a place that still aquires and sells this stuff. Anyone know?

not sure disneyauctions.com actually did that. if they did, it was extremely rare. it was an official disney site (i think it might have even been related to disneyshopping.com) that just sold disney licensed merchandise for cheap.

what you might be thinking about is mousesurplus.com or a couple of others who are escaping my mind right now. they are alive and well and continue to sell off items from the resort, many of which are unique and have included ride vehicles. in fact, they currently have a horizons vehicle up for sale.

OP is correct, they did auction off things like ride cars, etc. I used to love that site, I actually ordered a few of my most treasured collectibles from them. It started off as an Ebay site, but eventually you had to have a special Disney sign on and it got confusing and I stopped looking, which probably saved me a lot of money. LOL

It's funny, I was thinking about this site the other day while looking at my Tink big fig, which I purchased through DisneyAuctions.com.

Ages ago Disney did officially auction off some amazing park stuff. They had one of the original dream mobile/dream catchers/whatever you call it from Figment on there. They slowly stopped selling that type of stuff and switched over to more merch based. Now mouse surplus, surplus kingdom et al are the better places to find the really cool stuff. Not sure if Disney decided it wasn't worth the hassle to deal with it directly or what.

I know Mouse Surplus does auction off old park stuff- not sure if this is what you were looking for ;)

When you say merchandise based, are you talking about items you can find at the parks and at the Disney store, or things in the resorts such as lamps and such. I am asking because I would love to get my hands on a lamp like the ones that are in each of the BC rooms (the one with Mickey in his bathing suit sitting on a lifeguard chair).
