I noticed this piece has again been offered for sale; eBay number 2222830784 Rare Vintage Disneyland Brass Push-Plate?
Take a look, and read the description...
This is a somewhat famous Disneyana fake imported into this country late 70's, early 80's. It was never part of Disneyland, not authorized by Disney and has very little value to anyone who knows anything about Disneyland collectibles.
Notice the wording used by the seller, "When I purchased this I was told this may have been used at Disneyland as a door push plate". Obviously, the seller knows it is a fake, or he wouldn't have "covered" himself.
Beware of a phrase like "I was told...", it's a tip-off the seller is either clueless or dishonest.
The auction goes off Feb 9; take a look so you will recognize this fraud if you ever see one.
Someone will pay a lot of money for this piece of stamped (not cast) brass. Hopefully now, you won't make that mistake!
