We heard that the Disneyana Convention will be ending on our arrival date (8-24). Where is it located/ admission fee/ what is it all about/ hours of convention/ how much time should we invest?

First of all, it is not the Disneyana Convention, which is dead. It is the Disneyana Event. Starting at 11:00 on Saturday 8/24 it will be open to the public. It is located primarily at the World Showplace (formerly Millennium Village) at Epcot.

They will have the store, with any remaining logo merchandise and limited editions; Minnie's Attic with stuff dragged out of warehouses for sale; the Antiques and Collectibles (which is the outside traders, but there may not be too many of them); the Company Showcase (at Innoventions West) where there will be representatives (and possibly giveaways) from the various company business groups; and some seminars at various locations.

It will last until 5:00. Also, it is supposed to also be open to the public on Sunday (8/25) from 11:00 to 4:00.

Note that those of us who paid (a large amount) will have been able to order logo merchandise in advance and take part in lotteries for the limited editions, as well as having had first crack on the leftovers.

It will not be the same as the Disneyana Convention, but a weaker and smaller copy.

We will be at the parks from the 20th - 25th, how will this affect our touring? We have a PS for the new Princess breakfast on Sat morning and planned to spend the rest of the day at Epcot. Should I plan to park hop somewhere else? Thanks for the suggestions!

Anyone going to the convention, won't be going on rides or on attractions, they will be busy with the convention venues. On Saturday & Sunday they open the venues to the public and they are all in specific areas....none of them outside. It shouldn't affect you at all. Hope you and your family have a great vacation.

Thank-you Kathie, I feel much better. We waited until the last week of summer, hopeing for low crowds. When I saw this is was a bit worried that we had made a mistake.
