Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Yes, you have to pay the $26 per ticket that you purchase. EVEN if they don't attend the classes (my parents joined us for part of our trip, didn't attend the classes, but I was able to purchase their tickets with our YES tickets also). BUT even with that fee added to the tickets, the cost is still less than buying the tickets elsewhere!

I'm trying to figure out how this program works. I have 2 kids 7 & 8. We are not part of a group. So I think I am supposed to sign them up under individual enrollment? If I sign them up for a class, then I can order tickets for my 2 kids and DH and myself all at the discount? Do I pay anything for the class? On the class day, do my kids go off for their class and DH and I have a couple of hours alone, and then we pick them up? Why wouldn't everyone do this, if you get discounted tix and a free educational class for the kids? Am I missing something???

Kids under 13 (i think) need to have a parent attend the class with them.
Yes, if you sign up your kids, you and DH can also get the discounted tickets.

To those of you that signed up for more than one program. I know there is an additional fee per class (26.00?). My question is, do you have to pay the extra fee for parents and kids, or just the kids? I am guessing yes, but I was just curious....

I was only charged for the child attending the extra class. I had put down one adult for one class and the other adult in our party for the other class. So we were not charged for the adult attending the class. I know others have answered the question differently but I was not charged for everyone in our party for the second class. Of course I still haven't gotten them to email me an updated receipt, but they did charge my credit card already...

Ok I paid for the tickets on the 27th of January with express shipping and I still dont have my tickets. How long do they take to get here? Should I email or call them to see if they are being sent or have been sent. Hate to have them "lost" in the mail:eek:

I signed my DS,16 up for the 6/14 Technology class today. When can I expect my card to be charged? I also paid for the express shipping, any idea how long that takes?

TIA

I ordered tickets on 1/29 and they came this week. If you do not get them tomorrow, it never hurts to make a call. But, my understanding is that it is not uncommon to take two weeks to receive your tickets.

Good luck.:goodvibes

I ordered my tickets on 1/29 for the June 14th program Synergy in Science and the tickets came via Fed Ex on February 10th. :cool1:

I am in the same boat! Waiting on Sept YES dates so I can book but my PIN expires at the end of the month. Hopefully it will be soon!

An email I received while at Disney said that they would be releasing October dates soon. You might want to call and see if they are planning on September dates. Ashley is the one over the individual enrollments.

Back from WDW where we went to the Synergy in Science class at EPCOT. It wasn't exactly what I expected but it was very well done and very much geared toward 6-7 year olds. I don't know if they would have a little different focus if more of our group had been older (upper age for class is 11). We had two kids that were close to that limit but they seem to stay engaged throughout and helped the younger kids with some of the hands-on activities.

Some of the info really grabbed the parents' attention more than the kids. Like the 11953 tiles on Spaceship Earth and the sample of the material that it's made from along with samples of the covering for animatronics--did you know that there is two different polymers? One for inside animatronics and one for the outside animatronics.

Looking forward to doing a different class. Kudos to our group leaders!

Yes I am going to have to GUESS on my dates and use my pin and hope for those dates. Did you notice how many of the resorts with the pinned offer are already sold out?

This is part of the email that I received from the program this past week.

"We also wanted to share with you that Disney Homeschool Days is returning in October! Check our website frequently for the program date and the subject announcement. Or connect with Disney Youth Programs on Facebook for all the latest news and updates."

Whoa...what?! Already sold out? How do you check that? That PIN is a huge part of us being able to go on our trip. :(
