we've used yes tickets in October and January by can't for the life of me remember their dates and whether the program is offered in May! Any experience?

They have the 2016 dates up and there are none listed for March - May. They also haven't announced the homeschool date for next year, which I *think* is usually Jan or Feb.

These tickets no longer hold the great discount they used to, do they? I am thinking about starting to research home schooling my child in the coming years and this would be an asset in going to the home school days.

They do not have the big discounts anymore. I priced ours for October and I would have saved less than $150 for the 5 of us. A few years ago I saved nearly 40%!

We only went once last year and paid $784.84 for 4 5-day base tickets. When we went this year with regular tickets, discounted at UT, we paid $1283.80 for 4 5-day base tickets. The YES gave us a savings of $498.96 last year, which amounted to $124.74 off each ticket compared to what we paid this year. Still a big savings and much appreciated. As well as a cool class for the kids, and the time of year we like to go. It was a win-win for us.
I can't imagine a bigger discount and it sounds like 40% was great when they offered it!

We are one of those families who saved about 40% a few years ago. It rocked!!

I just priced out our tickets for our 2016 trip. Here are the prices for YES tickets and UT tickets:

All children attending and all adults attending...

7 day MYW tickets
2171.76 YES prices (includes tax)
2033.70 UT prices (includes tax)

So I would really encourage you to compare prices. The YES program used to be a huge money saver but not so much anymore :sad2:

Homeschool days (which I know Disney changed the name to something else) still can be a good savings. We are homeschoolers and love it. But that discount and the class is open to anyone, homeschooler or not!

We homeschool but unfortunately I have a college student now! I'm trapped into a schedule:/.

We started going the first year they offered homeschool days. I think we paid less than half! Those were the days.

I wouldn't give up a morning touring for $100. :)

I remember when that happened....it took me a long time to get used to a school schedule with that college thing!:rolleyes1

I SOOOO dread when this happens. My oldest is in 10th this year, and will begin college classes next fall so our carefree days are numbered.
