Disney Y.E.S. Program

So I just checked the YES website on a whim. While the page was loading, I scrolled down, and there were prices visible for WDW. I almost jumped up to do the happy dance, but then once the page loaded completely, the "check back soon for 2013 pricing" message was showing.

I reloaded the page three times, and each time this happened. These were the prices that were showing: 136.76 - 206.99. It's visible for about 2 seconds, but long enough for me to see that it says WDW (without my having selected WDW as my class location) and gives the prices I have listed.

Anyone else see that?

Can this be done?

Three adults travelling with one 5-year old child. Two of the adults can get YES tickets along with the child. The third adult gets regular tickets.

I know the child must have an adult with her in class. Can the third adult (with the regular tickets) accompany her, or must it be one of the other two adults (with the YES tickets)?

When it does that, what you're seeing is the DisneyLAND prices loading.

Then why are the DL prices 68 - 198? It very obviously says WDW next to the prices I quoted. Not trying to stir up trouble, just thought it was interesting and might mean that the prices are finalized but just not posted?

I've noticed when the page loads, it loads for all categories (Disney Youth Series, Kingdom Keepers, college, etc) for both DL and WDW, you see prices from those categories for a split second, then the pages filters whatever you have checked (in my case I have filter set to WDW and YES Individual Enrollment). Could that be what you're seeing -- WDW Kingdom Keepers prices or College prices?

The accompanying adult does not need to have a yes ticket, just a valid ticket. At least that is how it was this past January when we did it.

From what I remember you must indicate which adult will be attending when you register and that would be one of the adults that is getting a YES tickets. That being said, the last class that my DS took in Aug. my DH was registered to attend with him and at the last minute I decided to go. They didn't question it and I don't even remember them asking my name. I just gave them my DS's name when checking in. I think their main concern is that there is an adult to accompany children under 13. Of course that is my experience. Maybe others on here can comment on whether they have been asked for ID.

As far as the tickets....the adult that goes only needs a ticket to get into the park. The YES personnel won't even be aware of how and where the ticket was purchased.

I see the same thing when the website loads. Those prices don't seem too different than last year so I'm wondering if the change will be to how many extra tickets they allow you to purchase.

I just double-checked again. I do have the IE category selected. My internet has been incredibly slow when loading some pages today, so I checked on DH's too. His loads with lightening speed, but I still saw those prices visible when I scrolled down.

Someone else is seeing it, too:

I totally see it too, just as you said.
If those are the new prices, how much did they go up from previous?...I can't remember and don't have them written down.

I suspect that the price difference will be in the chaperone price. Hopefully we know by Monday.

My grandson did the Production Arts class at HS on 10/19 and really enjoyed it.
My DH (grandpa) took him, they took a cab to HS from OKW as I was worried that a bus would not come early enough. So they got there pretty early. They talked about what it takes to put a movie together, what role people play (Director, producer, grips etc.) and let them put together a scene of their own. They also worked in a ride on TOT (My DH and grandson's first time!)
I would try to work in a YES class on every trip if available. It's something special that very few get to experience.

Dd and I did the same class at HS on 10/19. I think a lot has to do with the group you are placed in. My guess is your grandson was in the group that was all boys. Our group was really quiet and not very interactive. Dd still enjoyed it and said she would do another class on return visit.

We just got back and DD did the YES class at DHS (Animation Magic) and really enjoyed it. We are looking at returning to WDW in June 2014. Just wondering what the June dates usually are for YES. Anyone know?

And have the prices gone up substantially? I was looking on the YES site and it says classes range from $68-$198 for Disneyland classes. We just paid $28 or $29 for the class DD just took plus the cost of park tickets.

My nephew is 18, but he is mentally closer to 12. Do you expect there to be a class he can take? He's a Junior in high school.

My 10 yr old daughter and I did the 10/23 Wild By Nature class. Sara was a great instructor! My daughter enjoyed the entire class. All kids and adults were engaged the entire time. We were suppose to meet at the flagpole at 8:30. We were running a few minutes late (my 13 year old was up sick with a stomach bug most of the night before, therefore, I was too and wasn't moving very fast that morning). We arrived about 8:33 and the class was already heading off into the park and another group was already in the park. I felt bad that the group had to wait for us to get our ear pieces on. Arrive at least 10 minutes before the actual time it tells you to be there!

It was a combination of learning about animal behaviors and seeing actual animals. We got to fast pass the safari as a group. We got lucky and saw the zebras on the safari - it was their first day out.

We would participate in another YES class based on our experience last week.

Here's my experience with accompanying my nephew last week.
My sister and bro-in-law purchased YES tickets for them and their grandson, but they all wanted me, (AP holder) to accompany him to his class.

I called Dave to ask if I could, and he told me that since we would be entering the turnstyles technically before Epcot opened, the AP would not work.

I had to buy a one-day YES ticket, for about $82, in order to chaperone. It seemed like an unnecessary expense since I have an AP, but it was important for me to be able to accompany my nephew, so we shelled out the extra $$.

The question is, did you try your ap. I know you did not since you already had a ticket. I am not sure who Dave is but I know everyone keeps referring to him. I asked the yes people last year when we bought ours so we would know. They said the accompanying adult just needed a ticket and that held true.

Granted it could be different now and I am not the expert having only done it once. Maybe if they would release the price and let us buy I would ask again!
