Disney Y.E.S. Program

I've never heard of this program until I found Dis Boards! Anyway I was looking at pricing as my daughter will have just turned 5 before we go and I just assumed this was offered year round. Is it offered in March, April or May? It's just a HUGE savings on the tickets $577 compared to $962 with Undercover Tourist.

YES classes at WDW are typically offered January, February, June, July, August, September and October.

Thanks! Does anyone know the previous dates for Feb. or a place I can find them to try to get an idea of when it's offered? We are looking for the first week in March to go but we could do the last week in Feb. if we need to in order to save the money. I know that the 5-8 classes are limited. Also my DD will be 5 at the time but not enrolled in Kindergarten does that matter?

I'm pretty sure classes were only offered the first two weeks of February last year.

I have to brag on Dave! He was so accommodating this morning. I called to see if we could upgrade our Oct YES tickets to include the water parks, and he made it happen! :)

I'm new to this. Who is Dave? I signed my 7 year old up for an individual class in September. Originally I just ordered base tickets, but I would like to have the hoppers instead. Is this possible?

Call YES at 407-472-4676 and you will most likely get Dave. He can add the hoppers to your tickets.

Just an update: I signed up DS and DD for separate classes on separate days, but only received one email confirmation, listing only DS. I called YES and spoke to Jade, who sent me a confirmation email for DD's class. Whew! I feel so much better now.

I'm sure the people who work in the YES office are sick of hearing from all these DISers with our constant questions, but they sure are helpful!

Does anyone else have kids signed up for Making Waves on 7/23 or Captivating Moments on 7/24?

Technically I *think* the tickets are supposed to go to immediate family. I'm not sure if grandma and brother would be considered immediate family. They are the adults taking her on the trip though, so IMO they qualify as her guardians for that trip. The registration form does not ask for the relationship though, at least it didn't when I registered.

Tickets are for immediate family and they do not consider grandma or brother to be immediate family. If the child does not have a parent on the trip, then the person/people taking them on the trip will be considered the guardian(s). If the parents are on the trip, a parent must accompany the child in the class and only the parent(s) will qualify for discounted tickets. This is what I was told when I called Y.E.S. asking about a similar situation, and I read it on the Y.E.S site somewhere recently.

I'm sure people have worked around this or had different experiences, but this is the policy as I understand it.

So, that's pretty much what I thought. They would not be immediate family, but since they are taking her on the trip they qualify. Thanks! :thumbsup2

Why wouldn't brother be immediate family?
He is the adult brother of the poster, but the boyfriend of the student in question.

Ok I was confused, I thought it was the brother of the student.

My son and his friend are signed up for the 7/23 Making waves class.

In putting to gether our schedule we are planning on going to one of the waterparks on the first day. Can we pick up our tickets there or do we have to go to DTD?

Also thinking of hitting a water park (TL) on arrival day. Was assuming I'd have to pick up the tickets at DD.

BTW, received my confirmation email today for the Animation class on 7/30 at DS!

We did this last year. We picked up the tickets at the ticket booth near Disney Quest. They were very nice!

How strict are they on age requirements? DS is 5 and the "How Things Move" program is closed. He is well behaved and I know he would love the "Wild by Nature" program. That class is still open.
