Ok, YES pros, I have another question for you. We are looking to stay at BCV and the YES program starts a bit before park opening. Do we have to take a taxi to the front of the park in order to gain entrance for the program instead of using the International Gateway? Where did you meet for the Epcot programs?

OK I got my tickets for June! I made reservations at the Carribean Beach Resort last month with the room only discount. I have NO intentions of cancelling but if there were a real emergency I'd only lose the deposit on the hotel (I wouldn't lose anything if I cancel 5 days in advance) but I believe I'd lose all of the cost for the YES tickets. Is anybody getting insurance for these tickets?

Correct, as of early 2011, Disney now contracts it out completely to a 3rd party. I purchased our YES tickets last July directly through the Disney YES site and the bottom of our email receipt states;

Student Guest Services, Division of CONVENTIONPLUS® LLC

NOW as for whether you can purchase 2012 YES tickets directly from Disney themselves and/or Conventionplus is what seems to be the confusion.

Torinsmom knows a lot more about last years switcharoo with the YES program...hopefully she can bring more clarity.

Actually, all I know is that I was told last year that a third party would be taking over the accounting part of the YES program this year. Last summer, my dad had emergency gall bladder surgery and he and my mom couldn't come at the last minute. I called to see if I could get the amount of their tickets credited somehow to use this year. They sent me a refund form, but the CM was very clear that starting this year, the refund policy would be up to the third party.

We met at the front entrance of Epcot. Can you get a bus to Epcot from BCV?

I would say yes, since she is part of your party.

To my knowledge, there are no busses to Epcot from the BC or BW. (In answer to tourinsmom.)
It's a short walk - but it will take you to the "back" entrance (WS - near France).
There is a boat to the front entrance but it takes about 20 min or so - and I'm not sure when it starts running. The walk is much quicker, but WS doesn't open early like FW does.
I think I remember using that entrance (WS) and just cutting thru the park on EMH morning hours - but I don't know anything about the YES program.....

The locations seem vague. Ours says "MK turnstiles". I think the turnstiles right at park opening is going to be a busy/confusing meeting place. I'm assuming there will be someone with a sign or something so we will know who else is there for the class?

What I mean is I can not add DS18 because that is more adults than participants. DD16 has an AP and as such does not need a ticket. Is it possible for DS18 to use her purchased ticket from the program.

My 10yr son is taking Synergy in Science and my 13yr son is taking Disney's Captivating Moments: Images with Impact. Both are on June 13th.

We got the 8 day premium tickets so we can hop and use the water parks and Quest on none park days.

So excited!

Does anyone know if there is a hotel discount for families enrolled in the YES individual enrollment program. We're planning an August trip and trying to save as much as possible!!!!

I have never seen anything that is just for the YES program.

You will need to look at general public discounts or the private PIN codes. Unfortunately the private PIN codes are random and scarce. I haven't personally received one of those in over a year.

My 10yr son is taking Synergy in Science and my 13yr son is taking Disney's Captivating Moments: Images with Impact. Both are on June 13th.

We got the 8 day premium tickets so we can hop and use the water parks and Quest on none park days.

I signed my ds and his friend up for a class in August. The ticket discount is simply amazing. With that said, I can't imagine that Disney will keep this up forever. If there is anything I know about Disney, when a program becomes popular, the benefits will change (as an example, look at the dining plan from 2006-currently, not cost, just benefits and you will see my point). I am so thankful they offer the YES program and frankly we are super excited for the class. I just can't see how this will continue for long, not with the current ticket discount. It saved us over $600!

Maybe it will last for a long time since they can control the number of people that can take advantage. It helps if people are willing to play by the rules.

When the dining plan first came out in 2005, people found all kinds of ways to game the system. Some folks did everything from using kid credits for adults to using a snack credit for a gallon of milk to booking fake kids to get extra credits with free dining.

I have a question for you all. Are any of you registering your kids separately so both parents can attend? Neither my husband nor I want to miss hanging with the boys, plus we would never know what to do with ourselves all alone. I saw if I registered them both separately they could have each of us attend as their adult. Anyone else thinking of doing this?

I am wondering about this, too. My mom will be going with us, since DH can't. It would be so wonderful to do this together, but I don't want to take a spot away from a child...input and experiences?? Did I read somewhere that if the other adult comes along, they let them join in?

Mine says MK Turnstiles as well. I would also assume its a general meeting place.

I signed up to attend the class with DD. Does anyone know if DH, grandma and DS will be allowed into the parks early with DD and I?

Last year my mom came with us and they didn't mind but I've heard its changed this year. This concerns me because we have 4 girls registered but it would only allow me to select one adult to attend for the 4 girls. Of course, all the girls' moms want to come (1 adult per girl). I am hoping we can all show up to go to the class with the girls (as if we registered separately-the girls are not related-they are all friends) and they'll allow us all to attend. I don't know why they would care-one adult per child should be the rule.
