Disney Y.E.S. Program

ok, used a different credit card. Not sure what the issue was. However, I got the tickets!!

Who else is taking the 6/18/12 'How Things Move' Class?

We're taking the same class. It will be my DH and twin sons, age 5, attending. I am so glad we got into the 6/18 class as 6/20 is my sons' birthday and I didn't want them to have to take a class on their actual birthday.

Someone posted on another thread that you can get room discounts with the YES program. Does anyone know if this is accurate? I have never heard that before.

You can book a room only deal with Disney. The do run specials on that its for a discount on the room only.

Did you get your email confirmation yet?

I am SO thankful for the DIS and super excited for everybody!!! :grouphug:

I got an email reciept, and I saved the final page from my order as a .pdf so I can print it at will:)

Can you post a link?? I went to the calendar of classes and when I click on the June classes, it say registration coming soon.

After you click, "Register Now", just put in your actual trip dates, and the appropriate classes will show up for those dates. The classes are there, but aren't showing on the page that list classes. Also, if you click "go to site" for a February class, you will see the June classes as they show up on the next page.

Awesome!

DW is taking the class with ds5 while I am hanging out with ds2. I am glad to know you are in the class. That means at least 2 other 5yo boys to join my 5yo boy. :yay: Was a little worried that it would be my boy and 9 8yo girls lol.

The 20th was out backup plan too, but we fly home that afternoon. I did not want to make it a class day if possible. We will poss. be in touch on here in the meantime, but we'll see you there!

New rule?

There is talk that starting in March, they will enforce the fast pass return time, therefore if you collected them earlier in the day (like we have always done) to use them later in the evening...you wont be able to do this anymore.

So excited! I just bought tickets for October. My dd went to wild by nature last year and loved it! It was a major highlight of the trip. We're trying ocean discoveries this year for something different. For those who are curious about wild by nature, they do go on a safari ride and spend a lot of time talking about taking care of the animals. My dh said it was really interesting.

:banana:So excited! My 5 year old dd has been telling me for a week about how much she misses Disney. Now I can tell her we're going again this year!

Bad choice of words. Not new rule. Them starting to make sure folks stick to the return time. I'm the type of person who gathers all my FP's early then uses them throughout the day

Ah. Yeah, I went on the strategy board and saw all the complaining. It will be somewhat inconvient, yes. However, I am thinking/hoping it wont be as bad as some feared.

As far as FP during the class, I am still going to take dw & ds's fastpasses. When the time is before the class ends, then myself and ds2 will just have extra FP in the morning. Prob for PP or Buzz. Then, I'll time it too have at least one set of FP for right when the class is over.

Anybody going to the 9-18 wild by nature class?

It's on my list! My girls (ages 7 and 12) will hopefully be in that one, or the one on 9/25 or 10/2. We're holding off on booking our rental home till we have the tickets; can't order the tickets till I have the money in hand, which won't be for several more weeks. But if we end up in that class, I'll let you know!

Awesome!! Hope you get to go when we are there :)

Sorry if this was mentioned, but if you only have 1 child enrolled in a class, but 3 adults (2 parents, 1 grandparent), why can you not buy tickets for all 3 adults? It only allowed me to get 2.

They changed it this year. One adult will need to buy a regular Disney ticket.

Oh I read on here it's around a 3 hr class so disregard my other question!

But I do have another question....

what happens if DD wants grandma to attend the class with her but grandma didn't get the discounted ticket (thus doesn't have the class included)? Will they let grandma be the 1 chaperone? I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on signing DD up for this! It will require us to do a Fri-Fri trip instead of Sun-Sun (which isn't a huge deal), but what if DD is bored during the 3 hr class?

I answered your question on the other thread.

Grandma is supposed to be a registered/paid guardian on the program to accompany DD. When the guardian/child shows up for the class the instructors will check names off the list and apply name tags.

I suppose you could ask if they'd switch the adults out, but that is completely at the discretion of the instructor.

Well I doubt she will be, because Disney consists of experts in making learning fun, but really....so what if she is? It'll be over in a few hours and kids need to be able to cope with the fact that life isn't always fun and entertaining.:confused3
