Disney World Reservation System -POST 1 FOR LINKS

Yup that is what seems to be the consensus on the board--multiple tickets or ticket types is one of the things that can trigger issues. I am fairly certain just the fact that I have a split stay with packages at each hotel is my issue

Hi did you get yours resolved yet? Keep us posted. I hung up after holding an hour...couldn't devote another day to this.

I e-mailed Disney , am going to try periodically & check in here.
 
Has anyone tried to switch a park if a mistake was made? I'm afraid if I try to change it I won't be able to get anything.

I cancelled two days and rebooked them at different parks about an hour ago. No problems. Then again, they were the arrival days for two trips where I realized AK was a bad choice for arrival day since it closes earliest and we’d only get an hour or two there at most. So I wasn’t going to be destroyed if the rebooking didn’t work smoothly. YMMV.
 

So, horrible thought just occurred to me. My resort won't be open for my dates and I still have to get that taken care of. That won't do anything to my park passes to have the resort changed, will it??

I had to change resorts and it did not affect my one park reservation.
 
My question is: if Disney IT knows there is an issue with multiple tickets - why don't they fix it OR halt the system until the issue is resolved. Sorry, just venting on hold to IT for 4 hours and no results.
I know. What the CM I spoke to this afternoon said was that they rolled the system out in such a rush, they didn't have time to test it. Still, if it's a known problem, then why the heck don't they just fix it??? It's beyond frustrating. I know you're so frustrated...hang in there!
 
Update with a FIX for the multiple AP glitch:
After last night's IT fix, I was able to make park reservations for myself for all our resort stay days (5 in July/Aug; 5 early Nov; 8 over Thanksgiving; 6 in January). DH had park reservations for July/Aug and 2 days over Thanksgiving, but every time we tried to make them for any of our other resort stay dates, the calendar was greyed out.
He waited on hold (passholder #) from 10:40 am EST and just got off the phone at 2:40 pm EST (just to give everyone a time frame; he called OVER 200 times to finally get through).
The CM who assisted him did the following:
She said the problem was that he has both a current AP (exp end of October 2020) and an AP voucher (good through 2030).
She said this is a known glitch, and the fix is to make a dummy account in MDE. I happened to think of the same "fix" last night, so I actually started to make a dummy account controlled by my husband (the same way he controls our kids' accounts) using his same name, age, etc, but a different middle initial. I psyched myself out and was worried I would royally screw things up if I transferred his AP voucher to the dummy account so I stopped and figured we'd call and handle things today. She used the dummy profile I made last night and transferred his AP voucher to the dummy account, and then replaced my husband on our November (x2) and January resort reservations. Then she made park reservations for the dummy account to match all the ones I and my kids already have.
She said to call back the day AFTER my husband's current AP is set to expire, and they will merge his real MDE profile and the dummy profile. We'll see how that pans out. ***We are slightly worried that the one month AP extension is set to occur in October 2020, and his AP is currently set to expire at the end of October 2020. HOPEFULLY the extension won't interfere with our ability to merge the real and dummy MDE profiles.

We also need to make resort and park reservations for February and March 2021. We'll do so on June 28 using the dummy profile for now.

Thank you! I would like to report that Dottie answered the phone and was super sweet and said it looked like it was our 2 day tickets causing the issue. She worked her magic and was able to book all of our park reservations for our trip in July! I could have hugged her!! It's been a stressful two days but hopefully it will be awesome in a few weeks!! Thank you for this forum it really helped!! 🥰And good luck to everyone. I called 1-800-848-6413 and chose option 3 in case anyone needed the number again.
 
I chuckled at this too! My daughter's ex boyfriend is still on my MDE from 4 years ago. I renamed him Mr. Nope Nope 😆
I didn't think of renaming him. Guess I'll try changing him to "The Jerk" :P
Done, now I can chuckle when I open MDE instead of cringing at his name.

This 1-800 number seems to be the trick I’ve been on hold for an hour and a half. Hope this works out. Cause that chat I never got anyone to respond
 
I just thought of something. All these issues about multiple tickets. How in the world does have too many tickets cause you to have a problem. Too many tickets! Unheard of lol
 
So I tried moving my Gold AP Voucher to a dummy profile and it says I have FP still attached, even though I've deleted myself from the APR associated with it. I give up. Will have to call again.
 
For those of you with one day, call IT. I think that's the only way it can get fixed. The CM did confirm they're working on the fix for the system, but having multiple tickets is causing a bunch of issues. That was why I was only able to book 1 park day. They had to book the rest of my days for me.
I’m on now and she can’t help me!!! Beyond frustrated.
