The only other thing I can think of is that they are not going to be cleaning the rooms everyday anymore so maybe they are giving a gift card for the days they are not servicing it (like when you cancel housekeeping but its not an amount that corresponds with your full stay).
Oh, maybe. Regardless, it seems a little risky to send any gift cards out now IMO. I'm sure a decent percentage of people who are planning to go now will ultimately end up cancelling.
Our last trip I had a meltdown because a lot of complaining was happening and I could not believe it based on the amount of work * I KNOW * I put into it. These spoiled people who get their trips planned for them think its just all easy breezy!
OMG this exactly. I usually go solo, but a friend and her husband and her sister and her BIL wanted to go to WDW with an "experienced" traveller. So for that reason, I am up at 4am (pacific time) to try and get park reservations, while they all sleep peacefully expecting a perfect Disney vacation, while I know, like everyone else, when Disney re-opens I won't have a clue what to expect. No one is experienced at this point!
This is the queue that never ends.... yes it goes on and on my friends...some people started waiting here, not knowing what it was....and they'll continue waiting here forever just because....

Maybe it is for only the people who Disney has asked to confirm/cancel/reschedule so they are confident they are still coming? but that is a good point.
