I'm still in the process of planning a WDW trip for me, my sister (18) and my cousin (6). As soon as I get a job and save up a little bit I will make everything definite. Now heres my question, I would like trip to be the best trip ever for my cousin. She really LOVES disney and mickey. If I tell the PS people that its her birthday, would they ask for proof? I'm not saying that we'd go 6 months after her b-day, maybe just 2 or 3 weeks. What do you guys think?

No proof is necessary. But you may want to tell the CM when you check in for your PS too. I know they often make a note about it ahead of time for resort reservations, not sure about PS. BUT, don't count on anything either, luck of the draw sometimes.

We got an It's My Birthday button at the Town Hall at MK
on our last visit for our son's friend {it was his 6th}. We
got a lot of comments from CM's all day and at the Liberty Treee Tavern the waitress noticed and asked me if we wanted them
to sing Happy Birthday.

I was at Epcot with a friend on his birthday, which was the day after mine. After I told a CM (who was also celebrating her B-day) that it was his b-day, she told us to go to guest relations to get a free b-day pin. I asked if she thought I could get one since my b-day was yesterday. She said that some kids will get the trip as a b-day present but not actually go until months after their b-day, and they still get the pins.

Why do you tell them when you make your PS? For a b-day song, or do you get something?

When I went on my graduation trip (a month after I graduated), the CM at le cellier asked if we were celebrating anything. I wasn't even thinking about it, but she reminded me that I was, and I got the yummiest chocolate Spaceship Earth-shaped dessert on the house. Very cool.

Yes, Doc, they always suggest you tell everyone you are celebrating a special day if you have something, like BD, graduation, anniversary, engagement, etc. They suggest telling the restaurants with your PS.'s and also the resorts, for the reason you thought, they want to celebrate with you and make your day special. Disney it is. :sunny:
