Disney World Pins

Hubby and I haven't been to disney world since the mid 1980's. We are taking the kids for the first time in June. Please give me info about the disney pins. Where to purchase them and price. Thanks, Janet

You can buy cheaper pins on this site.. http://www.cheappins.com

You can also buy pins on ebay, or you can buy them while at Disney World. The ones at Disney usually cost more. My friend told me that pins in Disney cost around $8-$10 each. The pins on cheap pins cost between $3-$5 each.

Basically, you can trade pins while at Disney. CMs will wear lanyards around their necks with pins on them. As long as you have an official Disney pin (it says on the back) you can trade your pin for one the CM has.

My son is collecting Stitch pins. My other son doesn't like pins. I just collect what I like. So far I have 2 (Minnie dresses as Tinkerbell and a Bambi pin).

I hope that helps. We are going to Disney this year. The last time I was at Disney was the first year Epcot opened in the early 80s. I'll bet things have really changed since then.

You can look on EBAY under Disney pins and sometimes find group lots of pins for sale for a very reasonable price.

Our last trip was in Dec of 2000. We had gone in Dec of 99 and on the last day we shared a monorail car with a CM and asked about the lanyard he had around his neck. He explained the whole pin trading concept to us and we just had to do it the next year.

I spent the whole year scouring e-bay for good prices. When we went we had about 10 pins for each of the kids. They had so much fun trading with the cast members and collecting the pins that represented their favorite rides.
