In 2004, we went to Disney World during a hurricane and they closed for the day- because of this, we recieved a free pass that never expires. We are planning a trip June 09 with our 3 year old daughter and have a 5 day pass and are debating if we should us our free pass and buy our daughter another day or should we go on a road trip to Sea World for the day?
I know there is a ton to see in Disney and there are only 4 parks. With a 3 year old, should we take the extra 2 days and see more or should we take a break from Disney and visist Sea World?

I have been to both and don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Since you are going in June though, I think I would do Disney and forget about the added running around that you would have to do just to get to Sea World. We went to Sea World in February and I remember thinking that it felt like a hot park and I wouldn't want to go there in the summer. The park is huge with a lot of walking. Having said that, the shows were absolutely amazing, so if you don't think you will be back you should go.

I've taken a 2 1/2 year old and 4 1/2 year old to Sea World...stay at Disney. Don't get me wrong, Sea World is nice, but the shows aren't as great as they use to be and it's a lot of sitting for a 3 1/2 year old. THere's just a lot more to do at Disney and I think from our experience it's more interesting for that age.

Our boys at that age seemed to really enjoy Sea World. there was much more freedom to roam...not standing in line for the next ride. The waiting just killed them! they weren't patient lil' boys at that age. We had a very calm enjoyable day at Sea World and would recommend others to try it.

I've done a week at Disney and then a two day at SeaWorld and it was great. But, because SeaWorld is a lot of shows and besides that just an interactive Zoo for a 3 year old it may be too much walking and sitting and all. I think that Disney would be your best bet, definatly is you are staying at Disney because if it gets into the scorching hot Florida weather then you just have a short bus ride to your resort, but with SeaWorld you have a little bit longer of a drive. SeaWorld may just not be as entertaining for her age.

I always think I want to go to Sea World until I get there. It is nice, parts of it and my kids even would like to go back again but for younger kids like 4 and under, it can get boring quick. There are animals to see that for the most part, you have to pick up the younger children for a good view and the shows are geared more towards 5 and up to adults. Just my thoughts, I would do Disney - a lot more stimulating for a child that age. Good luck :)

Personally I'd do another day at Disney. Maybe even a waterpark for the morning/afternoon and then hit some faves at each park, assuming you have a park hopper.

I have to agree with the majority here, and vote for another day at Disney. We went this past June and did both, and our Sea World day was kind of miserable. It just felt hotter there. At WDW, there are so many ques and attractions that in the air conditioning. At SW, we were so HOT, the waits are outside, the shows are outside...I actually felt "sick" from the heat for a while. If you were going in the winter, I'd say to try it, but I have no desire to do SW again in the summer. It also "shuts down" more on a rainy day than WDW does. We tried to go a second day, and left because they had to close all the shows due to heavy rains. At least at WDW, with many attractions indoors, you can still see things.

Wait & See -- My family is doing SW in June, but in your case I'd wait & see.

If the weather is HOT, then defin. WDW -- you can swim/nap in the heat of the day & have plenty of time in the parks at night. SW hours close earlier.

More of SW is outside then at WDW.

You want a POSITIVE family experience -- don't try to jam too much in -- you'll need down time -- you child may be well behaved, but everyone else's kids start getting on my nerves after a while -- don't discount corwds & heat may get to you.

We are going in January and doing Disney and SW! I will post and let you know...

If you do another day at Disney, don't waste those one day passes on that. You can add an extra day to a 5 day MYW ticket for only a few dollars. That one day pass has a value of ~$75.

Oh, take her to sea world. The park is fantastic for someone that age. She will love it! Definately worth a little road trip.

We are going to Disney the first week of March. Does anyone know where you can get the best price for Seaworld Tickets for a day or 2?
