Disney World on Halloween... won't do Not-So-Scary

Myself, my husband, and our 11 month old will be traveling to do Disney World in Orlando on Saturday (morning through late afternoon/early evening). We have park hopper tickets. Our concern is the fact that it is Halloween, so I don't know how that may impact parks or whether we can choose to dress up or if there's anything "extra" going on with it being the holiday. Does anyone have any information we may find useful to help us navigate our day? We've never been with a child, and we were wondering if there are ANY rides our 11 month old can join us on?

Thank you very much for any information!

There won't be anything extra going on for Halloween, outside of the party. Costumes for adults have the same restrictions as any other day. Saturdays in MK tend to be crowded, but since the park closes early for the party, it will be less crowded than a non party day.

Epcot and HS are your only chooses to hop to in the evening.

Epcot will be an absolute madhouse because of F&W, at least in WS. Since you'll only have a couple of hours anyway, maybe just stick to FW.

DHS will be crowded because it's an EMH day. It probably won't be possible to get any FPs by the time you get there, and the shows (except for Fantasmic) will be done for the day. But you could get in a couple of things like GMR and the Muppets before Fantasmic starts. And you would still have the option for child swapping the bigger rides.

We've taken our son (then 1) on Ariel, Jungle Cruise, Pan, Dumbo (although he wasn't thrill with Dumbo, LOL!), Small World, Pooh, WDWRR, and Aladin's Carpets. Oh, and People Mover, and I think Buzz, but he might have just sat there for Buzz (or he scored higher than me...not sure...)

MK will be decorated for Halloween, and if you are there between 4:00 and 7:00, you would be able to start seeing people coming into the park for the party that night, lots of whom will be decked out in costume (if you see seven dwarfs -- all girls, 11 to 17 -- dressed in tutus, that's our crowd). Even if not attending the party, it can be fun to see all of this. Also, a lot of the resorts have, in the past, hosted Halloween-related activities out around their pools.

A couple years ago we went our 4 month old. She rode everything in Fantasy land (no 7Dmt then) except the teacups and Little Mermaid (she was sleeping.) Same for Tomorrowland (no ASTRO Orbiters or speedway) and Adventureland. Baby will have to sit on the seat next to you, not your lap, fyi.
